Semper Fi or Die - Still broken (post 1.2)

follow the path behind the chopper and around the corner and on the left hand side down the end is the tunnel i entered to exit the level.

Yes, I am very sure. There is no path behind the chopper, just a ledge on the left hand side. I'm not even sure we're having the same bug, no enemies actually spawn nearby, there's just a lot of floating un-manned guns firing bullets at invisible targets.


when you head into the area where the chopper is on the ground turn left theres a road there follow it around and it leads down into an area with a dead soldier and a dogtag infront of a portable building behind and to the left of that is a sewer tunnel go thru it and it will end the level.

Sigh. Stop saying stupid things and read the thread.

There is no direct accessible road, there is a ledge with a road leading from it. The ledge is supposed to have a broken piece of concrete forming a ramp, so you can walk up to the road. That piece of concrete is not there, the ledge is impossible to ascend therefore the road is inaccessible.

If you try to manually climb up the ledge, you are blocked by an invisible wall, whatever scripted event is supposed to let you past is simply not initiating.

Honestly, please stop going on about that road.

maybe i had a diffrent bug then mine was invisable enemys that you could see but couldnt shoot but i could access that road.

It's alien subversion tactics. Mexican drug cartels commonly run along the US border shouting "MOVE UP GO" to demoralise border guards.

I am having exactly the same problem, the part where the chopper is supposed to be shot down is not initiating and there is that invisible wall blocking off the exit route. Tried reloading from the last checkpoint, the last level and restarting the game, still happens. Desperately trying to find some way to use a noclip command to skip past the invisible wall, but console commands appear to be disabled. >.>

I am getting the same "Move up! Go!" problem. This is really bugging me.

For all those of us who are having two major problems in Semper Fi or Die, patch 1.2 has not improved matters. The level is still very broke for some of us.

The following bugs still exist...

1) The constant yelling of 'Move up, go forward!', over, and over, and over, all through the level. This problem even occurs when no marines are around.

2) The 'defend the helicopter' final stage does not initiate, the enemies do not show up, and Delta Squad glitches. This error makes the level impossible to finish, and some of us have yet to progress through the rest of the game because of it.

There are video recordings of both these bugs taken by others players, and if you look within the comments (and previous threads on other forums, including steam) many have expressed the exact same problem.

That svcks man. I haven't had that issue but I can definitely feel you on that issue.

I've been waiting to complete this game since day one. I can't, because the NPC's don't spawn at the downed helicopter right at the end of Semper Fi or Die.

It's a scripting bug. Pressing any of the number pad keys will trigger lots of things in Semper Fi or Die. Press F6 and a gunship explodes, Press F4 and the MOVE OUT GO FORWARD loops begins. I have no idea which key is stopping the NPC's from spawning, but fixing it would be handy.

F4 and F6? They shouldn't be bound to anything. When you press them, does anything show up in console?

Have you tried restarting the mission from the beginning, not loading a save game? (load a save game from the previous mission and start anew on the Semper Fi mission).
