As the topic says , will that be possible at launch? In the beta it was not possible and seems you cant send mail to your own account either.

You mean a Sugar Daddy?
Would that not create an unfair advantage to an other wise lower level character? If that were the case, I would have a high level character just buy things for my lower level characters.
What exactly is wrong with that? its not like your low level alt is going to be able to equip level 50 gear off the bat and faceroll content.
That's how all other MMOs let you do it, seeing as you're the one who earned the gold in the first place.
If I level a toon to high lvl I should be able to send stuff to my lower lvl once I outgrow them, BUT this is basically what zen doesnt want which is why storage is SEVERELY limited and ALT play is heavily discouraged
i sent in a /bug about this while i was in the beta. i tried to send my alt mail but it didnt work. so i put the items in the bank and got it from the alt as we share banks.
but, i didnt see any slot in the bank to store gold.
Gah another terrible design decision. I was hoping it was a bug.
Yeah...that's too controlling of them.
They even understand our time is precious?
It is always possible for the high level alt to put high value items in the bank and have the low level alt sell them, even if direct gold transfer wasn't possible.
However if direct gold transfer isn't possible, that would hamper gold farmers quite a bit.
You can share items by depositing in the bank. If they don't allow you to directly mail gold to your characters, people will just give the money to a friends and the friend to the alt. Makes no sense to force people to do this. I bet we will be able to mail gold directly.
Hardly - all it does is hamper legit players, meanwhile the goldsellers will just trade with a customer directly.
You can put high end gear in the bank and let the alts get the gear and then sell it. They can't use it because gear is level dependent.
Don't know that it would create any kind of unfair advantage. If I have a level 6 alt that just left the starter area, what do all the other level 6 toons in the area care about what I'm equipped with? It's not like it's detracting from their game.
After all, if you wanted to gear up your alt, you can already just purchase gear/equipment with your high level toon, drop it in the shared bank, and voila... alt is geared up. So why not just allow coin to be transferred? Or at least just deposited in your bank (which all toons can access anyway).
Not really seeing a downside here.
I am sick and tired of the gold seller argument, screw the gold sellers , let them do what they wish. Another instance of regular player getting screwed because of gold sellers. Zenimax have a warped sense of design.
Not being able to transfer gold from the farming characters to the selling characters hampers them, as does the inability to actually give gold to customers who bought it.
Trading gold is no problem, that option was available, but you can't (yet) move gold from one character to another without using another person.
It just seems like another petty controlling thing ESO is trying to do with us. They're going to have to knock it off, this stuff is going to be extremely unpopular.
That's called "twinking" and twinking is wrong! (in the voice of Ron White)
I love how all the whining about games .. immersion .. this and that .. people are like "why can't I hook 1 of my 8 alts" LMAO.
They'll just trade with another bot. Then to give gold to a customer THEY'LL TRADE GOLD WITH THEM DIRECTLY AS WELL. Doesn't hamper them AT ALL, yet completely mucks up a legit player trying to play their alts.
How do people not think these things through?
God sellers never transfer gold face to face. They have the buyer list some junk item (like a piece of iron ore) on the AH for like 100k gold, then the seller goes and buys that items. Effectively handing over 100k gold to the buyer.
Well if it is an intentional lockout there's one serious problem: it won't work. Only make things very slightly more annoying.
If I want to transfer gold to an alt in the current system I'd merely need hand it to a friend/guildy I trust and have them mail it to my alt. Easy as that, basically only the anti-social will be hurt by this.
That assumes they can trade with another bot. Can they? Or is the movement of ingame currency from player to player limited to the guild auction house?
Since you could just buy things that your alt needs with your main character and put it in the bank, I don't see why they shouldn't allow gold transfer between characters.
Only difference is it's more convenient.
