[REL] Sensual Walks for Female NPCs

Thanks to your help, Surazal, I now can enjoy not one but 4 different walks for my character.
And to think I played disabled Real Walk for over 6 months!

Big Fat Thank you. Kudos, and when you make the Sensual patch for Integration TSL, there is Fish&Chips and Guinnes for you. :D

Edit: found 2 corean mods tweaking Umpa and Mur_Zik's animations, created Corean Walks Pack but will test later. Too tired today - built my game, tweaked, tested.
Wrye Bash says play time 5:53. Enough is enough.

I have done Integration, but am waiting a respectable amount of time for a permission response from the author before releasing - will probably upload on Saturday if I still haven't heard anything.

That is quite a big job - especially since it would make sense to do all the NPC Diversity mods - will look into it. Having said that, if you use Wrye Bash, you can get the Sensual Walks with this mod as long as you create a Bashed Patch that includes the Sensual Walks mods with BOSS recommended tags applied (ie it will import the animations into the bashed patch and the RBP faces and inventory from Diversity esp) - assumes you have Oblivion Sensual Walks installed.

May I ask you a question about Mayu's Animation Overhaul?
This mod turns into library importing all animations into game for all to use.
And in my game all NPC fight with DMC style, and are Seph style hand-to-hand fighting and Seph style acrobatic and walk with your walks.

In his readme Mayu says about recommended load order:
Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul.esp -> if you use it
Martigen's Monster Mod.esp -> if you use it
AnyPlugins
AnyAnimationPlugins -> if you use any
Mayu's Animation Overhaul.esp
Streamline.esp -> if you use it
Bashed Patch.esp -> if you use it
Deadly Reflex.esp -> if you use it


BOSS places MAO well above this recommended place and above Better Cities.
Which way is more correct - BOSS or Mayu?
I will ask the same question in BOSS tread as well.

Very glad I have been of some help.

Looking at the recommendations, I think that Streamline should be loaded after the bashed batch, so based on that inaccuracy, I would vote for BOSS recommendations unless proven to be incorrect (ie causes a problem) - BOSS load order does represent the wisdom of many contributors and is continually refined and enhanced.

Of course, as the author of BOMM and a big advocate of BOSS, I might be ever so slightly biased :)

May I ask, how did you get this mod? Or have you just had it ages? I tried d'loading it from the site but the registration system fails :(

Re Mayu: I seem to recall looking into it a while back (somewhere on the Nexus Sensual Walks forum) and found that it was not Sensual Walks compatible :( Not 100% sure on this and have not tested with Wrye Bash's animation import feature - but thight it worth mentioning

I have been agonising over whether to...

  • Create Sensual Walks patches for the RBP NPC Diversity mods
    Pros
    - Simple to know what is and what isn't covered by Sensual Walks
    - No change to the way Sensual Walks is applied to other mods
    Cons
    - Separate Sensual Walks patches need to be made for each RBP mod
    - Permission needs to be granted for the Sensual Walks mods
    - Takes time

  • Include information about Wrye Bash's ability to import the Sensual Walks animations so that they will be applied to any mod that changes Oblivion and Shivering Isles defined NPCs
    Pros
    - Sensual Walks will be applied to all of the RBP NPC Diversity mods without requiring any additional Sensual Walks mods
    - Extends Sensual Walks coverage to any mod that changes standard (Oblivion and Shivering Isles) female NPCs without requiring additional patches
    - Wrye Bash usage means that all Sensual Walks mods are merged into the Bashed Patch reducing the number of ESP slots used

    - Requires Wrye Bash
    - Requires knowing how to create a Bashed Patch

Wrye Bash v284 unchecks all the Sensual Walks mods when you build the bashed patch. As a result of this wonderful bit of automation, I have gone back to using OBMM to install the Sensual Walks mods - much easier and safer in terms of determining which Sensual walks mods to install and ensuring the correct version is used.

The only exception is "VHBloodlines 1.2 Vwalk.esp", which needs to be handled differently. I use a BOMM override to apply the Deactivate tag for this mod, which means the entire "uncheck" process is automated by building the bashed patch.

For those BAIN only people, I will continue to package the Sensual Walks BAIN ready archive as part of the download.

Is this wrong?
If you mean wthat all patches are unticked in Import Actors Anims, (I found this the hard way), you tick them back once only manually, then click on 'Save' before rebuilding the patch and next time it will be the way you want it.

I've always used OBMM anyway, and I'm a BAIN-a-holic. Bain is just awesome, but some mods just require that scripted install, Sensual Walks being one of them :)
I know I'd miss several Vwalk plugins if I didn't use OBMM.

I also think using the Wrye Bash approach to add walks to RBP plugins is best. Especially if its easier for you!

Absolutely nothing wrong - that was my point (obviously not very well explained). In my early days of WB usage, I had to uncheck all the Sensual Walks mods each time I ran the install - now with the latest version, WB does it for me automtically and that was what I was trying to share. Also, with the Select All option on the Bash Rebuild, it is even easier to make sure you have everything imported.

Basically, I was recommending an OBMM install rather than a BAIN one.

Tip: Exit OBMM before building the baahed patch to avoid check marks being reset after WB has unchecked them.

One thing I know about Sensual Walk and remember it well: Sensual Walk Installer to be installed via OBMM, patches could be either OBMM or WB - no difference except OBMM installation saves you counting on your fingers the patches you need. (Oops, forgot The Ayleid Steps patch, uninstall, reinstall, BOSS. Oops this time I forgot malevolent, start again...)
The other thing - you told me to merge and use virtully active only, works like charm, no complaints, great mod.
You, Mur_Zik, Umpa, Skycaptain, DMC and Seph changed they way my Oblivion lads and lasses move in the world.

Surazal,

I've been using your mod, Sensual Walks, for several months. Great stuff.

However, I've recently added Banana Better Cities to my game. If I load BC (latest version; BloodMudBravil version), and then install Sensual Walks vers 5.5, my game hangs on loading. I'm using Boss list 5/29 to order my load. If I remove Sensual Walks, the game loads fine.

According to your version history, SW 5.5 should have a patch/fix for BC. Do I need to download something else? I see BOSS is at a June version now. Will that fix it? Note that I use OBMM, etc. That is, I don't try and do manual mod installs (used to, but got too lazy : )

Thanks for letting me know. I have just done some testing and there does seem to be a problem. I am looking into it now.

btw, if you enclose your LO in spoiler tags ([ spoiler]load ordr[ /spoiler] without the space after the [), it will hide the text unless clicked.

Update

I can't get my saved game to load with the B&M version of Better Cities - CTD when loading my saved game. Sensual Walks not installed. I will have to see why I can't get BC B&M running before I can even look into Sensual Walks - will probably continue looking tomorrow.
