Sensual Walks Version 7.0 Released

Thanks to http://www.tesnexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=764052 for his gracious permission to use BBB versions of his fantastic walk animations and the terrific help and support that http://www.tesnexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=8120 has provided to help me with BBB, I am pleased to announce that this version of Sensual Walks now includes BBB animation options.

    New and updated Sensual Walks Patches
  • Verona House Bloodines SI Fixed v1.5.5
  • Removed erroneous male NPC from Sensual Walks patch for Fireflys Extended Cities v2.1

    Other Changes
  • Animations Installer changed to offer selection of BBB compatible walk animations
  • Animations Installer changed to detect and provide compatibility with Mayus Animation Overhaul
  • Removed Cyrodiil Travel Services v1.3.1 (upgrade to v2.0.1 or higher)

Version 7.1 appears to conflict with the bashed patch and both TNR and COBL races.
Although merged into the patch neither will activate and Oblivion reverts to vanilla stats and races on game load.

I am not quite sure what you mean by "neither will activate". The Sensual Walks ESPs should not be activated and should be selected in your Bashed Patch.

Sensual Walks, when included in the bashed patch (and deactivated), does not change anything other than female NPC animations. Do you have the TNR and COBL races mods activated?

Might help if you post Load Order by...

1. Under the Mods tab, click Right Click the File heading
2. Select List Mods...
3. Press Ctrl-A to select the mods listed
4. Press Ctrl-C to copy the list to the clipboard
5. Press Ctrl-V to paste it into your post

Oh yes, one final thing, which version of Wrye Bash are you using?

and obviously the bashed patch itself.


After rebuilding the patch I receive the message "COBL Races Balanced has been de-activated"

NPC's no longer have TNR faces, loading screens have reverted to vanilla.
There may be other issues, but I haven't at this stage investigated anything further.

May I just add there are some beta FCOM and COBL plug-ins that are not available for general release, but version 7.0 worked fine in a previous build.

Disabled, and reverting to version 7.0 with the same mod listing resolves the problem.

I just had a quick look through your load order…

I notice that you have the Sensual Walks patch for MAO, but do not have the master loaded – this can’t be right. Are you using OBMM to install Sensual Walks for Female NPCs? I also notice that you have merged MAO – it should only have the animations imported. This was introduced in v7.1.

This is likely to be cause of your problems. Do you use BOSS? If you do, then update your masterlist with the latest version which includes the correct tags for MAO - {{BASH:Actors.Anims, NoMerge}}.

I didn’t notice the Bashed Patch in your list so I am not sure if there are other mods not shown in your load order.

Fyi, all Sensual Walks mods should have the Actors.Anims, NoMerge Tags applied. There is one exception to this that needs to be merged (I think it is VHB – only the non-Arthmoor fixed one).

Hope this helps – if not, please let me know how you are installing Sensual Walks and include the full Load Order when your repond.

Going out for the evening but I'll certainly have another look and come back here in a few hours with the results.


edit - time for me to hide under the bed.
I made the same mistake THREE times when rebuilding the patch, and the cause was just so obvious that I feel really embarrassed. :facepalm:

I think this mod really adds a lot of variety to the NPCs without making it feel tacky, which just increases the immersion, so thank you :)

Not quite sure if this is a bug or not, but the Hand on Hip BBB animated walk assigned Agnete the Pickeled in Skingrad makes her look like she has a prosthetic right leg (she's got a pronounced limp), and her chest jerks sideways. I also noticed that on occasions when she starts to walk again after chatting to someone, the right hand forearm will delay moving to the hand-on-hip position. The overall experience makes it look like she's been in a serious alcohol related accident. Is this working as intended?

It's actually quite funny to watch, although the chest movement looks quite painful - I can literally feel vertebrae cracking whilst watching

I am using Umpa's latest version of his walk animation, so I must assume that it is working as intended. To be honest, I think many of the other walk animations such as Mur-Zik's are much more fluid and have always found that Umpa's are a little jerky. It is for this reason that I use Umpa's walk for the "Drunk" category, because it seems to fit.

I know there are some other BBB conversions of Umpa's walk, but elected to stick with the author's conversion. I would be interested to hear any views on the other BBB conversions that exist - perhaps, if they are much better than Umpa's, I could add them to the available Sensual Walks animations.

This was the only animated walk that I found that sort of stuck out as a bit odd to me so far. All the other female animations I've seen have been smooth and seemless (I'm using the BBB variations only)

Yes, they are included as something you can select - they are not used in any of the standard animation "maps"

If you want to make use of them, you will need to do that as part of your Animations Installtion via the menu driven interface (eg select "Drunk" and then choose "Standard Oblivion walk" or one of the BBB variations if you are using BBB)

This was the only animated walk that I found that sort of stuck out as a bit odd to me so far. All the other female animations I've seen have been smooth and seemless (I'm using the BBB variations only)

The Wizard was generated by an MS Word macro that I wrote - don't know why I didn't think of it before :)

Once WB v292 is released, I should be able to do proper wizards for both.

Changes to the BAIN version will be less frequent because it onlu needs to be updated when new mods are added or existing mods add or remove female NPCs - also, did not need to include as many variations, because I know the animation information will be imported into the bashed patch.

Wizard problem with Wrye Bash svn 1080

An error occured in the wizard script:
Line: "\n- You must use OBMM ro run the Sensual Walks Animations Installer OMOD for Sensual Walks to work."
Error: (Line 2843, Column 102): Too many values left at the end of evaluation.


I think you need a bit of that future proofing with the recent changes to wizards.

Love the new BAIN package for this, very timely since I've been organising the rest of my body and animation stuff into bain today. I notice however that your patch for Mayu's Animation Overhaul (included in your previous update) is missing here, is this intended? Also I use Rolling Hills EV-No wheat.esp is it ok to use your Rolling Hills Vwalk with this? Now I'm looking forward to Bash v292 for even more wizardy goodness. Thanks for keeping this fantastic and ever growing collection going.

I think you need a bit of that future proofing with the recent changes to wizards.

Love the new BAIN package for this, very timely since I've been organising the rest of my body and animation stuff into bain today. I notice however that your patch for Mayu's Animation Overhaul (included in your previous update) is missing here, is this intended? Also I use Rolling Hills EV-No wheat.esp is it ok to use your Rolling Hills Vwalk with this? Now I'm looking forward to Bash v292 for even more wizardy goodness. Thanks for keeping this fantastic and ever growing collection going.

It should all work without extra versions - one of the benefits of using a bashed patch - basically anything that changes vanilla female NPCs will not need a special Sensual Walks patch (all is included in the bashed patch).

Rolling Hills EV-No wheat.esp never needed a Sensual Walks patch - well, there isn't one in the OMOD version either - so I assume (pretty sure) it doesn't change or add female NPCs
