Proof? I remember seeing them posted here a few months ago. I'm not going to go looking back that far, but I know Pete said something along the lines of "its TES, not Fallout, the armor is separate."

it would be difficult for me to prove a negative here. When talking about this issue yesterday, dragonborn1 told me about that tweet. I went back and looked at all of Pete Hines' tweets from 2011 and didn't find it. I double-checked, so I'm pretty sure it was deleted.

One piece armor sets had been in fallout since the original. Bethesda just did the same thing for 3. Doesn't fit in TES.

Yeah, that is how I've been thinking, but it's good to get it confirmed(more or less).

An easy search would easily find it if one is skeptic.
I can clearly remember that he confirmed that it would be separate, and not like Fallout.

If the title of the thread was "pauldrons, etc CONFIRMED", I would take your point.

The problem is that this thread is about something that most people around here have known for months. So they come here expecting something they didn't know yet. Only they find out it's what they already knew.

I wholeheartedly apologize, then. I cant seem to edit the topic of the title so maybe someone else can change it to "no one-piece armor confirmed"

In the gameplay trailer it looks like Dovahkiin has 2 different pauldrons... Hopefully it actually is two different, and not just what the whole cuirass looks like

I just looked, and his response was there on Jan 10. Like others have said, this is OLD news. You could have searched the forum and you would have found the same info. If you would have for example, searched "ARMOR" & "HINES", you would have ended up here... http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1159110-info-from-twitter/ Which as you can see has the tweet in question. You just didnt search properly, not here in the forum or on twitter.

Your welcome, DB1. I knew it existed, I just didnt want to have to be the one to look. LOL. I was certain that Batttdown was trolling or just didnt know how to search... So I took a look. It must have taken me less than 10 minutes to find it in the forum, find it in twitter, make a screen shot and post a reply. :toughninja:

So you blew a chance to ask a question that should have been rendered Morrowind vs. Oblivion rather than Fallout vs. Oblivion. We need to know about individual pieces such as shoulders.....not one piece suits that we know are only from the Fallout mechanics...

regarding pouldrons
One proof is in front of your eyes- background of this forum  (I also hope that it isn't specific armor design)
I expect that there will be whole armor sets (like Arena outfits), full cuirases (like in TES4), and chestplates that can be combined with pouldrons (like in TES3)

I had no reason to believe Skyrim would have single-slot armor like in Fallout 3. For the umpteenth time, it was like that way in Fallout because that's how they did it in the originals. :whistling:

But how separate? I didn't think they would jump straight to fallout style armor, I do still think its simplified more. Maybe the greaves are connected to the boots? Or guantlets connected to the cuirass? Those don't sound very appealing. Maybe we will just have more armors that are linked? Maybe just less variety. I assume there will be simplification somewhere. Of course I've been wrong before, maybe im still wrong.
