Separate folder in Data directory?

Post » Sat Jun 26, 2010 8:45 pm

Hello,

I have a quick question. If I want to install a mod like, for example, the OOO hotfix to 1.34, which contains subfolders such as Meshes and Textures. can I just place the top folder into the Data directory for the sake of organization, or do I have to actually merge the subfolders?

Thanks.

Are you on XP or 7? Then drop the folder onto Data Files and XP will merge the folders/files for you.

Careful with this as not all mods contain the Data Files top directory and may just have Meshes or Textures etc organized under another folder name. Then with those just put the individual folders in the Data Files and let XP do the Merge.

Or, use something like Fallout Mod Manager and it will do these things for you.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping that the system was modular like in the DA:O override folder, but OBMM will be just fine :)
