some new info about racial armor and dragon scale armor. Also, companions have opinions on your choices.

It has large scales fashioned into it in various places. It is not known whether these scales were authentic dragon scales or just artificial imitations made from metal or some unknown material. Upper and lower armor, the cuirass and greaves, are now combined. This design makes it easier to render the armor and allows for more armor designs; in fact, the variation of armor types exceeds any previous Elder Scrolls release"

actually they confirmed dragon BONE armor is made from dragon bones....not scales

Ohhhhh! So Im guessing scale armor is light where as bone is heavy.
