200 years without any ruling body yeah right im pretty sure that at least a few emperors have stepped up to take the reins of the empires fate and if not then im pretty sure that cyrodills equivalent of the Parliament or senate stepped up

yeah thats what i assumed, the council stepped in. but still if theres a civil war going on they must not have that much control, at least over skyrim

Mede took control of the Empire. His line is most likely still in power.

Wether Mede put his face on the gold is unknown.

I think there would still be drakes, which are Septims, but no one would call them Septims anymore, probably. Or maybe the Empire would still call them Septims in honour of the dynasty.

wow I thought I was the only one who knew that hehe, seems we are both on the crazy pills, people will be shocked to know that most of the "money" does not actually have any real value to back it up, a

Its funny how people think their the only ones who know a certsin piece of info. Gold to me has no value, its all about what you deem in your mind what is valuable. Of course water, food, shelter, etc have value but its funny how certain items that have really not that much use are valuable.

As Skyrim is heavily inspired by Norway/Vikings/Sweden, it should be either

* just pennies (2 pennies, 1 penny, 1/2 penny, 1/4 penny) (sounds a bit cumbersome?) or
*1 shilling = 3 hvid = 12 pennies or
*1 daler = 96 shilling or
*1 daler = 4 crowns = 400 aureus
