Serious Graphic Glitches Since Latest Patch

Post » Tue Feb 23, 2016 1:14 pm

So in the last few days I've been getting a serious graphical issue, and I can't identify a culprit. After a few hours of play, reflections start screwing up (like in image 1), the other textures start repeating (image 2) and then finally huge parts of the terrain vanish as I approach (last images).

This has only been happening since the last patch. I've tried dropping my resolution (from 4k down to 1080p), turning vsync on and off, dropping the quality of everything to low or off, verifying the local cache, numerous ini tweaks, even deleting all of the local files and reinstalling.

I've tried running with a few textures and without, with enb/reshade and without, and frankly, I'm at my wits' end. Those textures/terrain models don't ever show up again, regardless of if I reboot or reload any save.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My system specs:

Windows 10 x64 Pro (retail)

Intel i7-6700k @ 4.00ghz (8 cpus)

32GB Corsair DDR4

Nvidia 980TI

WD 1TB SSD

What if you get Fallout 4 running vanilla again, and the try to re-install your mods again?

Unfortunately I've tried vanilla, that's what I was playing when the glitching started. The game runs (albiet poorly, there's no reason I should get ~15fps on my rig), but once I get away from the top 1/5th of the map, everything is broken and glitched. I tried using mods to fix the issues, but none of them helped. Like I said, completely deleting fallout 4 from my system and reinstalling didn't help. Once I get anywhere near diamond city (or anywhere on the same horizontal line, map-wise), the textures and models break and vanish. They'll appear if I have them on my peripheral, but looking directly at them they're gone.

Not just disabling mods, but uninstalling them completely through NMM, including that manager.

Cleaning your registry from any unwanted keys would be also a good idea.

Also what happens with your temperatures!

I assume your PSU is quite powerful.

If you game was running okay before, you may have done something wrong with your tweaks and such stuff...
