Seriously bethesda? Fix your game!

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 11:56 am

There are so many game breaking bugs it's not funny. I can't speak about them all because I myself have not run into all of them but have seen people talking about it online while trying to find a fix for the one I DID run into. CONFIDENCE MAN quest has bugged my game where I cannot die now. It was one thing that I couldn't kill the enemies and finish the quest, I could just skip it until it was fixed, BUT I CANT DIE EITHER NOW and Travis continues to follow me. this is ridiculous, I don't want to reload and lose 5 hours of gameplay because of this stupid bug. Plus there are so many reports about this specific bug online why the hell hasn't it been patched yet? Pc gamers have a fix by doing console commands but it leaves us console gamers SOL.

EDIT: I can't even continue now without restarting my game completely because I tried reloading my save and I saved after the bar fight with Travis and bull and now I can't die. This seriously needs to get patched as I won't be playing this again until it does.

Seems like you've literally beaten the game lol. i'm really surprised about the bugs in this game. New Vegas had nothing compared tho this, in fact, i experienced very little bugs in that game.

Same, even fallout 3 had less bugs, especially less game breaking ones. This is what I get for supporting Bethesda apparently, $80 down the drain and no support on their screwups.

They should fix the frame rate as well. Combat is atrocious due to the frame drops. It isn't a bad game. I'm enjoying it a lot. But I really want to have fun without the low frame rates and bugs.

I have the same problem - after doing the part of the Confindence Man quest where you fight the guys in the bar I can no longer die or complete the quest. Don't want to lose all the gameplay since previous save so will have to wait for a patch.

I haven't had any frame rate issues myself but a lot of others have. I agree it's not a bad game, but this kind of game breaking bug is just simply unforgivable :/ how was this not caught in production? Does besthesda not test out their games?

I saved after the bar fight to go to bed for the night and now I can't even reload a save, my only options are literally they patch the game or I restart completely and if I restart I'm Losing over 20+ hours.

Opposite for me. New Vegas was absolutely unplayable on PS3 -- especially with the DLC installed -- but Fallout 4 has run pretty good thus far. Not perfect, but for a Bethesda game, I feel like it could have been significantly worse.

what exactly caused that though? Because my personal experience with New Vegas was fine. But as for your "significantly worse" comment, I don't agree with you, the only way it could get worse is if EVERYBODY who owned a copy could no longer play it, and I say EVERYBODY because there are already quite a few people who cannot even start the game without it crashing, this bug that i'm stuck in may be very minor compared to that, but it doesn't change the fact that its still an entire game breaking bug. Its really starting to seem like Bethesda doesn't even play test their games and simply does not give a [censored] about their customers. small bugs that don't effect the overall gameplay, or bugs that only have a chance of happening is one thing entirely, but to have something where every single person ( I say every single person, because from my searching anybody who does this quest gets it, the only people I have spoken to that haven't seen this bug haven't done the quest and will now not be doing so until the game gets patched,) who does this quest ends up like this? how the [censored] do you miss that if you properly tested your game?

Nowadays I feel we are the game testers.

If that's the case we shouldn't be paying $80 for games, the price went up for development costs but the testing is part of the development, if they want us to test their games for them they should drop their game prices back down.

Bethesda QAs their games like crazy. It's tiring to read so much hate over something most people don't understand. Think of it from a development POV. These games are so huge with so many infinite possibilities, it just isn't possible to find everything. That's why patches exist.

The game isn't even a week old, give them the time to go through and fix the problems that are affecting gamers.

Okay, but a game breaking bug in a common quest is a serious error. It'd be like if the quest to blow up Megaton was somehow seriously glitched. Not to mention, the framerate errors and the litany of other bugs that plague this game.

I get what your trying to say, but this isn't an "infinite possibility" You do this quest, you get a game breaking bug, you simply cannot miss that unless you didn't test it at all. Just because there's so much possibilities of what can go wrong, doesn't change the fact that it is the GAME DEVELOPERS JOB to make sure that the game is playable, this isn't something small like one character got teleported to the wrong location so you have to go to that location instead, this is straight up you do this and your game breaks. The only way you miss this is if it plainly WAS NOT TESTED, so there really isn't an excuse for it, try as you might to defend them.

Also there's the fact that there's no response from the developers at all on the subject, that is almost as huge of a problem as the bug itself is, there's nothing worse then spending your hard earned money on a product that doesn't work and not get any support on it at all.

my sentiments exactly....my wife calls me a nerd, but, like you, i have invested 20+ hours into this and really dont want to start over...im an ocd player, i check every drawer, cabinet, etc and keep it all....i cant stomach that again

my fear is that after the patch, support will say ok its fixed, after you start over, it wont happen again.....dont see how they can patch and fix an already existing game save, but here is hoping....until then, done with this game....seriously considering applying for a refund

I have the Confidence Man glitch and the permanently blurred vision glitch, which appears to be fairly common. Both of these have straight up ruined the game for me. I might have been forgiving if there had been some kind of communication but there's been absolutely none.
