Seriously ? Doom 3 BFG on PC not support 1080p ??? I am very sad Doom is 2004 year game and now 2012 Doom 3 have remastered version and not support 1920x1080 on PC ? I am very sad and I think a lot of PC player too ! Thats bull5h*t

Also, you can make the game any resolution you want through the console commands, so if you wanted to you could go higher than 1080p

Like I said, you can make it 1080p using console commands, you can make the resolution anything you want.
I assume the console will still exist. It better.

Also with a config file you can change that. It doesn't matter what the "native" resolution is if you can change it.

Honestly your question did not say you were asking about the PC version. So they may mean the consoles which are WAY weaker so they may be capped at 720p to ensure a fixed framerate. Theres really no such thing as a "native resolution" for games on PC. You run games at whatever resolution you use on your monitor. If by some weird reason they only have 720p as a default option, this game is based on the original PC code, which means a config file. Just pop in your own x and y sizes and ur good to go. The difference is the game knows widescreen so you probably wont need to tinker as much. I wouldnt worry about it too much. Wait till after release and ask forum users again if your really concerned.

Also, FACEBOOK is probably the worst place go for questions. Its probably monitored my a know nothing PR rep. If you only got that one line answer, it was probably off a script sheet.

Of course the pc version will support 1080 resolution, the answer is probably for consoles.

I hope guys your words is true and Doom 3 BFG support 1080p on PC ! I found a lot of video on youtube guys play doom 3 BFG with Xbox360 and PS3 but not found PC gameplay ! And I not see Doom 3 BFG on Steam ! But I pre-order on a shop so I go to the DVD in 19.Friday !

I found now PC 1080p HD Youtube videos Doom 3 bfg gameplay and so the video is 1080p so maybe really support 1080p the game ahhh yeah ! damn I can't wait !

Thx but I dont understand you really , because You say the game support 1080p but the PC game resolution is the same as the original release.The original Doom 3 release in 2004 ( max resoultion is 1600x1200 ) so how 1080p ? Or why You say the resolution can go up to 2560x1440 insane resolution ?

The original game supports high resolutions, including 1080p, it's just undocumented and has to be done through editing config files.

try these commands in command line or in console to unlock console -com_allowconsole 1

r_mode -1 (this tells doom to use custom settings)
r_customheight "1080"
r_customwidth "1920"

im not sure but u may need change aspect ratio as it was needed in original

r_aspectRatio "0" // 0= 4:3 ,1=16:9 ,2=16:10
