Seriously Splash/Bethesda Well done

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 6:15 am

This is, as of 2011 the best "team" fps I have ever played. I am an xbox user also by the way and I always will be... I cannot use a mouse to aim a gun for the life of me. But i cannot be touched with a joy stick. GREAT JOB on the game I hope to see some amazing DLC soon.

Yes, if you would like to get mad about the problems with their online play I would suggest that you simply upgrade your internet service to a higher bandwidth speed. In other games casual players do not notice 3 bar connections (aka people who are terrible at games), Brink makes it unplayable if the host has a bad connection to you which is GOOD in my opinion it allows me to complain to my friends and say hey guys I can't even play lets find a new game. I'm not like lashing out at you but seriously just back out... find another game if you're on xbox it's THAT simple. I love player to player hosting simply cause you can have a better connection than a dedicated server. Some people won't agree with this but this is why I play on the xbox... and of course joy sticks. You can troll all you like but this is facts. Also there "may" be a problem with their software not comprehending correctly with the host and players but I actually like this bug. It tells you how bad the host really is in my opinion.

Several people who have reviewed the game which is the majority agree with my statements I simply posted this to express my appreciation for splash damages game.
And if I can somehow change haters minds on it I will try. The lag problems will be fixed and it shouldn't really be worried about, things take time.

No... You're in the extreme minority about the networking issues (extreme lag) that's going on, for the majority of the Xbox 360 Brink community. Under the intense lag, and graphical issues, of the 360 version of Brink lays a gem. Though it's up to Splash Damage to polish that gem to its full potential.

Just join a different game. Problem solved. This is my last post, read before you express your hatred towards the online play.

Honestly I'm very satisfied as well. The few issues I might experience with multiplayer are things that are fixed easily enough, I can't think of any online game that's been released that didn't have a few bugs. Not sure how you console folks are faring but overall A++++++++++ Would Use These Brothers again A++++++++++

Maybe I didn't explain this well enough. I too am having the same major lag issues as you... but I thought for a few moments and was like oh wait... maybe I should just keep joining games till I find one suitable to my play style?
but in my opinion I do think splash will fix it.. just not as fast as most people would like.

Really enjoying the game thus far. Hopefully SD takes care of the technical problems once they finish their worldwide launch.

Seriously - this game is bugged - BIG TIME.

SD - All I ask is that you get a working patch out soon, as you have a good game here but you gaming developers can not continue to treat people (gaming community which are the first adopters) who decide to pre-order your game, pay in full, and then deliver them a product that has major online issues for an online game.

BETA TEST BETA TEST BETA TEST - using people, similar to what Gear of war is doing, this way you can see how the game will react in an uncontrolled enviroment; instead of in house.

The year is 2011 not 1980 - get it right and do it quick.

I'm a 360 player and I'm happy with this game so far, as well. Play with a couple of friends last night and we had a great time. Hit a few lag spikes here and there, but nothing major.

Server filter system isn't working right, server list lags the game, audio to mute sound bug, auto crouching on objective enabling bug, insta-hack module disengaging bug, oh, and the point system undervalues damage killing, and actually pushing objectives (but that's due to a lack of understanding/innovation and balance on SD's part, not a bug), ATI issues, player buff detection issues, etc.

All in all, the release isn't that bad, but I had expected it to be better given the amount of polish that was supposedly put into it.

The fact that you have 1337 in your signature has me to believe that you might be stuck in the 90's, though.

I can name one other "team" fps that no other game can touch. At least until this fall.
