So, I too, would like to buy Cry 2 ... but thought I should try demo and make sure it works on my machine. So, demo is multiplayer ... and there are no servers?

Am I missing something? Or is this a further reflection of why EA share value continues to drop?

The demo servers were shut down about a week before the game was released, EA can't afford to waste money on customer service etc.

when I downloaded the demo a weke ago there where no servers for it either. I now own the full game, and the server browser in the full version does have servers, but it's ****. "powered by game spy" is another way of saying "only works in some parts of america". the server browser displays incorrect ping, and often fails to show servers with players in them etc.

It's true.

MP-Demo was something like a test to see if MP can run on the platforms and if there are any problems before they release the full game. The servers were only 2 weeks online. After that they closed the servers. On PS3 and XBOX came the message that the demo is no longer available, but they forgot to say it for the PC-Gamers.
Sorry but if you want to play MP you will have to buy the game.
