While it's impossible to confirm, its very likely that at LEAST another beta before the early release to test every new fixed stuff, and probably remove some restrictions to allow a larger testing phase, and then a week before early access they can fix and apply final touches.

I can say that they NEED another beta, so I am confident that there will be one, but most likely in mid march or so.

Aunthentication is between your computer and the game server, which means servers are online.

Also it seems some youtubers have access to servers.

There is an exclusive beta going on for quite some time now, nothing strange there though.

That is the Public Test Server that runs fulltime. You have to get selected for that. They might have put the server online for whatever reason on their testing. But login is disabled, as there is no beta going on. Simple as that.
