Does resetting your reputation with console commands back to neutral screw things up? I nuked the Legion so I could get the loot and now I’m vilified and automatically failed several major Legion quests. I still want to go to the Fort and maybe do some minor Legion quests.

From my experience it never really hurt to reset the reputation back to neutral.

Though if you were looking to just nuke them for the L.R. reward..


My two cents if that was the case, if not you should be fine using the command.

If your entire reasoning behind nuking it was to reap the items and are willing to console away the problem, why not just console yourself the items and then blow up someone else?

I’m at LVL 37 now, already got the chip from Benny at the Tops(?), fourth playthru and first non-vanilla playthru using any kind of mods and console codes for perks. It looks like its okay to change back to neutral with the vilified factions but I guess the failed quests are gone but that’s no big deal. I’ll see what happens and I can always reload a prior save if need be.

I launched only because I didn’t want to sacrifice ED-E and I figured the Legion was the lesser of two evils and if I had to have somebody pissed at me it may as well be them. The first playthru I nuked both sites to get the items but I was far enough along the main quest where it didn’t matter at that point very near ending battle. You are right I could console in the items but I’m trying not to cheat too much here if I can avoid it. Now I’m tempted and will probably do that anyway.
