Settlement Becomes Unallied For No Reason

Post » Fri Feb 12, 2016 8:56 pm

When I fast Travel to The Slog I can hear gunfire in the far distance (not sure where exactly or what exactly it is) and then it says "The slog is no longer allied to you". I have in no way done anything to harm my standing with this (or any other settlement for that matter) because this is one of my favorite and most developed settlements. I also have purposefully not gone as far into the main story line so that my standing with any faction would be negative or hostile. Tried reloading and fast traveling and also tried fast traveling somewhere near by and walking there to see if I could find the problem before it started.

Did you do a "Feeding the Troops' mission for BoS and then turn against the faction? Just an idea.

one time in sanctuary i moved a brahmin feed trough slightly and the whole town turned hostile

i had a save right before though luckily.

i reloaded and no one was hostile went back and touched the feed trough and everyone turned hostile, this happened everytime at that moment

i have since made sure i save before i touch them but at no point since has any settlement including sanctuary turned hostile when ive moved feed troughs

seemed to be just a weird little bug/glitch

you may have got one of those?

I have 7 containers at Sanctuary in a house, where I have different kinds of stuff stashed. Once a Brahmin stand upon these containers and when I open one, the Brahmin was a little hurt and everyone turned hostiles.

?Cheers,

What you neglected to take note of is that the brahmin feed trough has become a holy shrine.

did you have any traps set around where one of them could've tripped it?

i killed half of the 20 some settlers at the castle 10 times over before i realized that a new guy comin through the gates was trippin one of my traps.

raiders can set traps that they don't trip so my settlers shouldn't trip traps that i set.

tram tripped traps terribly trew tha troubled triple thrusting trough thrashing thrombosis threesome throwing three thirds thereafter thus trying to thin thoroughly the triboros third throng throughout the twinkling twilight till there twasn't two thousand thriving thongs thought garry. what?!

Use a laser tripwire for your traps. Link a computer into the same power grid and you can then specify for the tripwire to only trip for hostiles. There are other things you can program with the computer too.
