Settlement being annihilated... for no reason

Post » Mon Jan 25, 2016 4:28 am

Once in a while,

when I arrive to one of my settlement (regardless of method)

I start seeing everything in the settlement being destroyed in front of my eyes.

There is no enemy, there was no alert for invasion.

All crops, generators, turrets... they just start being destroyed one at a time in front of my eye.

Is it frustrating? No. Settlement is mostly useless in game play afterall.

However, it is ANNOYING like legendary blood bug.

What could be causing this?

1. Random glitch?

2. I missed possible major invasion while I was fast traveling?

I cannot think of anything else..

Wait, could this be caused by Synth Infiltrator?

Then I will annihilate institute in return...

I've had that happen a couple of times.

One was when my settlement was at it's build limit and i arrived carrying a full load of freshly looted spoils into the workshop area.

I think the game destroyed my improvements to bring the settlement back into balance.

Scrapping some of my swag of stored guns, armour, and superfluous decorations resulted in self repair of crops and improvements.

Another time was at Sanctuary when I brought another souvenired power armour suit home.

Even thought the settlement build limit was still in the green pa suit number 38 must have been too much.

Moving the suits away resulted in another self repair.

Another possibility is a failed to defend the settlement punishment that occurred before your eyes for some reason.

Same thing happened to me. I awoke to no power in my settlement cabana and I was like huh? Looked outside and my generators were on fire. Looked around some more and I had to replant everything in my vegetable garden, my water spouts were all toppled over, it was a mess. Still have no idea what happened. Pretty annoying.

Thank you for inputs.

It can happen because of settlement capacity?

Most of my settlements are not that full I believe... this happens more lately, and it`s being extremely annoying.

I wouldn`t complain.. if I had more oil, ceramic, wood to fix these things... some materials are just bit short
