Hey guys, I would like to try and make a list of improvements that we would like to continue to see with the settlement building side of Fallout 4. Patch 1.4 is going to add some new items and we have an entire DLC (Wasteland Workshop) dedicated to settlement building, so I figured it would be nice to have a dialogue and bounce ideas back and forth.
Currently, I don't have much feedback on items I would like to see added.
As far as functionality I would like to see added into the settlement building:
1. A way to claim a bed as our own. Or even better, to assign beds to all the settlers, however if that is not practical, I would be fine with being able to claim a bed in a settlement as mine, so no NPCs will use it. It would make building a home in a settlement less of a hassle.
2. The ability to designate areas where NPCs will "live" in. This would allow them have a very basic routine, where they could return to their domicile at night, wake up and go to their assigned job, and then return again the following night. Seems like a nice way to sell them having a "normal" life.
3. NPCs having children. They would probably just "pop" into being as younger kids, but it would further sell the illusion of life moving on in the Commonwealth.
Spoiler
5. Random events with settlers that occur outside of the Minutemen, such as: illnesses, requests for small favors (candy or stuff like that), celebrations, and it would be incredible if they would acknowledge you for all that you have contributed.
6. Giving names to the settlers would be an amazing touch.
