"Calm down, It's just me, There are no freaking animals running around trying to kill us all, calm it down budy."

Erik eyed the Nord warily. "I'v never seen you 'round here before, who are you?" Erik took a step closer to the Nord.

"I'm an adventurer, a trained soldier, I just want to be a guard here"

Erik eyed the man. "has Ikarion hired you on?" Erik looked about suddenly. "Hmm."

"Yes, I think"

raggi having got control of his mirth stumps accross the compuond and calls (from a safe distance) hi Erik - I see you have met our latest guard, he's called basher because he likes killing bears! Not many bears around here, but if you ever see one then just point him at the creature and he'll get the job done in no time. Pretty soon there will be no bears left in the area.

Erik's eyes widened and he gripped his sword handle at the new voice."Wha?!, oh ok." Erik looked at the nord."Proove your worth,there is a large kodiac bear to the south of here go and fetch me its head.

OOC:NOTE: COMBAT IS TO BE DONE PVP STYLE, GOT IT???

As Ardion trudged through the thick forest, he saw the muddied outlines of buildings through the foliage. houses? he though to himself. He ducked down, walking very slowly, careful not to make a sound. Stalking slowly ahead Ardion crept up to the edge of the settlement. He saw two houses and knew he had finally arrived. He waited for a few minutes in the bush, carefully observing two men talking. That Nord looks like he's had a bit much mead..

Ardion decided they were no threat, looking slightly weak. He stepped out of the bush, calling "Hello there! You men need any help?"

Erik screamed when he heard the voice, drawing his long sword he turned on the man and allmost charged. "What do ye want?" The argonian asked grimly.

"I said, do you need any help? I want to stay here for a while. I can work well with my hands," Said Ardion. He walked up to the Argonian and guided his sword back into its sheath. "It belongs there, mate. Not in anyone here."

As he reached for Erik's Blade he tugged it out farther but before he could draw it the man pressed it back. He growled "let go of me,And go See Ikarion."



Kyogru walked through the desne brush,the dry vegitation scraqed on the sheath of his katana. Kyogru frowned and kept walking towards the settlment, the wind rustled through the blue Gi he wore. "allmost there." He said quietly.

"I will make sure of it. Where would I find this Ikarion fellow?" Said Ardion, letting go of the Argonian's blade.

OOC: I'm going to be gone for about a half an hour, but then I'll be back.

Erik looked towards the buildings. "somewhere in the main encampment" Erik growled.

"Ok, thank you good sir," Said Ardion as he walked off toward the village center. Looking around, he noticed a charred ruin of a building. That could use some work...

Ikarion walked into the town squarei n his red velvet linned with black fur laced in gold silk coat,shirt and breeches. he nodded to an Nord who was walking up to him.

OOC: Ardion happens to be a Nord, but I'll ignore it.

IC: "Greetings. Are you the one in charge here?" Said Ardion, as he turned to walk with the finely clothed man coming towards him.

OOC:i fixed it

IC: Ikarion noded to the man. "That i am."

"Well good to meet you, kind sir. I would like to volunteer as the village carpenter." Said Ardion.

Ikrarion shook his hand. "Good,see that lumber i piled up there." He pointed. "Use it to repair the storeroom."

"Store room, got it. I'm assuming you are talking about the burned out hunk of charcoal over there," Said Ardion, pointing to the burned building he saw earlier.

IC: Little more than a day after he left, Genesis stepped back into the confines of the settlement, slightly more rugged, his blade bloodstained from a run-in with a raider party on his return journey. Scroll of parchment clasped in one hand, and a cloth sack with goods scavenged from the raiders in the other, he walked up to where Ikarion was standing, talking to Ardion. He stopped and greeted the Nord. "Jamar Valthuras, spymaster of this settlement. Pleasure to meet you." He then turned to Ikarion. "Well, I managed to get a good map down of the surrounding area, and on my way back, ran into a few raiders from up north somewhere. Three of them, in fact, and thankfully not very skilled. Managed to get some gear off of them as well. Come to the town hall with me and I'll show you everything." He led Ikarion over to the hall, and placed the parchment down on the table, unrolling it:

IC: "As you can see, there are three main pathways through the hills that lead to the walls of the settlement. Up to the northwest there's a large forested area, with a few well worn pathways going through it - probably from animals and raiders. Two of the pathway entrances through the hills are open and relatively visible, so we'll leave watching those up to the guards, but the one to the east is concealed by brush and trees. Now, I first thought of just clearing it away, but we can use it to our advantage. I'd like to have a guard post erected there, concealed, as a sort of outpost - from there we can watch the path, and have a better view of the surrounding area - from what I could tell the raiders were riding from the east, so we should keep an eye out in that direction. I also have an idea of where the posts in the settlement should be - I'll give you those plans later. Take this for now, keep it somewhere safe." He rolled up the parchment again and handed it to Ikarion, then hoisted the cloth sack up and emptied the contents out onto the table:

"I took everything I thought might be useful to us. Once the store room is up again we can store everything in there." He gathered the various items back into the sack, closed it, and handed it to Ikarion. "Keep this somewhere safe. I'll get to doing the plans for the guard posts right away. Good to see you again, and that all is well." He clapped his hand on Ikarion's shoulder, turned and strode toward his quarters, confident in the future of the settlement and its inhabitants.

OOC Subject to ammendment:

IC raggi notes the comings and goings - takes a peek at the map as it is handed over and sorta decides that the building in the NW corner must be the 'Town Hall', the two buildings in the NE would be the stables and cowsheds, whatever, and in the SE would be the charred wreck that was the storehouse.

He was hunting in the NW where the path runs into the largest area of woods.

Funny there is no diagram of the Forge in the SW corner of the compound, but there you go - everything gets done bit-by-bit.

Now the location of the silver mine is interesting - at some point miners will be needed there - too bad there are no dwemer left.

What to do first? It seems his buck, the mushrooms and tubers and the game brought in by the other guy who was hunting are all that is there that is edible. So off to hunt some more - and this time some serious gathering. Lucky mushrooms are so nutricious ...

He goes over to Ikarion - "Excuse me sera, but who is going to purchase seed and provisions to replace the settlement stores? No point in having ploughed fields with nothing to plant in them. I imagine the fields are likely to be dug over there to the East past where the path runs between the two coppices and that the vegetable patch will be over there to the SW in that smaller area of open ground?

If you can get your peasants working on them now they might be ready by the time your man returns with the provisions?"

raggi turns to the spy-master and asks: " think you the provisions will need a guard sera - assuming where the bandits you felled were not alone? I imagine that the locals know that this settlement is growing apace and there is the old Silver Mine here and so too will any bandits with local connections - question being were the bandits you discovered aware of us and when can we expect more?

The newcomer Ardion seems a likely fellow and well versed in various skills that would make him a useful provisioner - I was going hunting, but I could help him rebuild the Warehouse today - I have a powerful telekinesis spell (that needs a bit of practice!) and escort him to the nearest town to secure essential provisions tomorrow if you gentlemen wish?

Ikarion shook the spymaster's hand very well. We will get to building defenses as soon as possible,and the mines will help us out more than anything else,fund wise. Ikarion hoisted the bag of weapons and such and slung it over his shoulder as his spymaster walkeed away.




"The fields have allready been growing and accoridng to Sell the crops would not be ready for another few weeks, And i think i will send Basher,and the Nordic fellow to the town to buy supplies.

"Really? that's fine news - I've not come accross them yet. So much to do and not enough time to do it in." raggi looks up at the boss expectantly: "Do you want me to get on with some more forraging and gathering or help with the construction of a new warehouse first then? - I have an excellent telekinesis spell that I want tp practice with a bit."
