OOC: Sorry, was busy last night, and at work today, didn't get much chance to post...
IC: Genesis looked carefully up and down the young Nord facing him. "Greetings, Sigormund. You are most welcomed here by my word, and I'm sure, equally welcomed by the others. I am Jamar Valthuras, Spymaster of this settlement. I oversee much of the strategic operation of the settlement as well as planning in any other areas related to it, and also act as a scout in this development phase. I am an assassin by trade, but in my time with the Morag Tong and my other employers I gained much experience in scouting and the other skills necessary to a traveling adventurer. You have caught me at a busy moment, so feel free to look around - we will speak more later."
After greeting the newcomer, Genesis walked back to his quarters, and sat down, thinking carefully. Once the settlement was properly established, the Nord would make a good candidate for a guard and scout - part of the team he planned to form as the settlement grew. Making a mental note to speak to him later, he pulled over a blank piece of parchment, quill, and inkwell, and began making more extensive plans to scout the surrounding area and establish small outposts where more development could be done. (OOC: Will submit these when I'm finished.) Also, at a later stage, it might be a good idea to scout out the raider camp, to get a better idea of what they were up against.
With the preliminary plans complete, he left his quarters once again to see the Nord hard at work on a new building. He strode over to him, and spoke. "Greetings once again, Sigormund. I can see you must have plans for this settlement, from the work you're already doing. If you require any maps, strategic reports, or wish for an area to be scouted out for development, consult with Ikarion, and I will gladly be of assistance." He stepped closer to the Nord, then, and spoke in a lower tone. "I am pleased to have someone so enthusiastic about our work here as a resident, and I can tell you are going to be a great driving force here - we need that. Oh, and when you have a free moment, I'd like to speak to you about some other ideas I have for the development." He stepped back again, and spoke to the rest. "Alright settlers, you heard him - there is much to be done here, so anyone who isn't otherwise occupied, help out in whatever manner you can." With that, he walked over to the stables and grabbed another shovel, and continued the digging that Sig had started.
