Settlement vendor missing inventory

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 2:20 am

Hello all, I ran into a glitch but not sure if caused by a mod or anything but here it is. All my settlement vendors have nothing for selling when I talk to them, no caps nothing. Even show I have nothing in the same menu, this is a weird glitch and no idea how to fix. Every time I try to find videos or info on this glitch get the dam dup glitch stuff.

I've had that before but reloading the last save sorted it, they had no items and only around 9 caps.

I've seen this on PS4 & X1 so it's not an issue with a mod.

Don't know why it happens either. Just every now and then when I try to do some trading they have no inventory or available caps.

I go away and come back the next day and everything is fine again.

The only thing I've seen like this was after I bought out sanctuary's inventory and then ran to RR to buy them out too, but nothing was for sale.

It is because they share inventory, and not a bug or glitch.

I, too, have encountered this, mostly when liquidating a lot of stuff in exchange for scrap and caps (I usually leave them with 0 caps and a bunch of weapons, food, and armor).

After doing this at a few of my settlement General Trade vendors, subsequent vendors that I visit will be out of the types of things I'm buying, and will themselves have 0 caps available to buy things from me.

Personally, I rationalize this as "flooding the market" but yeah, it happens.

Wishing I could have a container in which I can put items, and then they are automatically "sold" for some fraction of their resale value.

I had this problem once on PS4, my vendors had only a handful of caps and nothing to sell. Sleeping for 48 hours solved it in my case.
