According to Load screens and the perk description having the perk local leader should allow me to create supply lines between settlements so they will share food, water and crafting supplies. Which is great but how do I do this? I have both levels of the perk local leader but my various settlements don't automatically create supply lines so how do I connect the settlements? What step am I missing?

Creating specialization settlements seems like the best way to maximize their potential.

Go to the workbench building thing. Walk up to a settler when you get close you will have the option to make a supply line instead of command.

I have done this, but the resource pool does not appear to be shared.

For example, Sanctuary and Castle are now connected in my hame, I can see the route on my map.

I have abt 300+ steel in Sanctuary work table atorage, and only 56 in Castle.

I am not certain, but shouldn't I see the same inventory at both locations now?

It seems to me - only items in the Junk category get shared. The things you build with. Your Steel should show up eventually.

Anything "stored" like walls you build do not get shared.

I see no sign that food and drink get shared.

And I have no idea how I get the caps my stores earn.

Seems that the quantities shown when you open the transfer dialogue do not change. However, when I go to construct something using the Workshop menu, like a floor, LOTS of resources show up. Apparently it is working, just not indicated in the Transfer window of the workshop.
