Settlements.

Does anyone know (no spoilers if applicable please) whether or not we are ever able to make buildings out of something besides wood or metal. I'd like to see some cleaner, more uniform type structures. I'd love to see brick or stone as an option.

Hey

Na sorry. No bricks or stone. I have got the strategy guide and it tells me everything i can make when you get the required perks and it's only metal and wood. Will need to wait for a mod I guess. :nope:

Yea, the limited options in style and being stuck with "junk tech" really killed it for me. I wanted to make a high tech bunker like you see in New Vegas's brotherhood.

Thanks. So the structures never change? We don't get any additional options?

One thing that really needs to be added are simple support beams just to make some structures look realistic. I don't like the way that we can remove the lower part of a building while the upper stories continue to float magically in the air like Minecraft. There should be an option to add a support beam on any part of the bottom of flooring.

Hey

Yeah tell me about it. It's as if they created this settlement gameplay concept in January 2015 and then rushed to complete it so that it would be released this month. This building system is so unfinished that if they even try to tell it us that this was in development for years or whatever I would loose so much faith in Bethesda I would just cry.

That's why I'm hoping they release a content patch to overhaul building and settlement UI in general or a mod to re do this 100%. Only downside is that I bought FO4 on PS4 and will have to wait good knows how long before I can use mods on my console.

It probably has been in development for years. What they don't tell you is that it was most likely a "secondary" feature on the back line. It's not what they do tell you, it's what they don't.

I'm on PC and I have complete confidence that settlement options will see a ton of mods.
