Settler problems Xbox one

Post » Wed Feb 17, 2016 7:11 am

Ok so I spent 14 plus days working in sanctuary to build a mega settlement. I recently build some workshops and put them inside of a house i constructed from a broken one. I assigned people to them but no one shows up at the shops during the day. I know there assigned to because it shows it is in the workshop mode. They do come but at night during random times. All the settlers also huttle inside of the building I made at night. It's like the settlers are glitched. It is really frustrating when you devote hours at a time placing things just right to find out that it's glitchy and uncooperative. Please any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did you assign the original setters to the shops? Jun and his wife, Mama Murphy, and Sturges don't just sit at the shop. You can still find them and trade with them but if you want to know where the shop keeper is, than you need to assign regular old settlers to the shop.

If not, please provide more information.

Yes.. at night, they will all gather around the bars (food stalls) until they decide it is time for bed. Either set up more bars to spread the group out, move the bar, or put down some stools and hope they are smart enough to use it

Build a restaurant and place alot of stools and tables. At night they will gather there before they go to bed.

Set up a feeder for them, they'll show. Helps if you have lots of food.

They still have the weapons, you won't see them outside of battle except for scrappers and guards. If you trade the weapon will be in their inventory

Never even thought of it, you can rig up some tripwire. There's a tutorial on YouTube, not sure how to link it from my phone.

And if you do get on youtube might want to check out some of jug's videos for some advanced building tips, the coliseum in particular I found helpful

The electrical is a little beside me.. However, I have noticed that if you make a brahmin feeding tub (Under resources, misc.) it increases fertilization production (useful for drugs). It may be pure speculation. I have about 22 settlers in each settlement and pretty sure it was random when the brahmin show up, sometimes getting two. However, it was generally later like 14 or more settlers.

I don't know if the siren actually does anything. My settlers are pretty adapted at finding bad guys before I can see them. Also, why wouldn't you just keep your spotlight on constantly? Role-play reasons? I don't know about other people but my spotlights stop working after while. (They still move but no light is present)

Certain generators cause different resaults. If you use the small on a spotlight it will not work well during the day but usually at night it works always. I always use mediums cause of the noise and resaults. I keep mine running always. Also some of my settlers stand outside at night idk why though? And can settlers go up stairs you made like if I wanted a two story bar? Also does a bar accually have to have a bar shop in it to be considered a bar to the settlers? There just so bulky. And which walls did you use to put the bars building surrounding the emporium? None of the regular walls fit cause the roof always hits it. The roof is always my main problem.

Is there any way you can force or suggest some kind of grouping area. I swear codsworth, Curie and drinking buddy all gather right at my freaking gate and basically force it to remain open.

Walls? I am pretty sure all the walls are the same size. As far as the roofing... it is a big oversight on Bethesda. I think the stalls were meant for outdoors but I like the idea of malls and such so always build your building and make sure you have plenty of room. Then you can add the shop AFTER you are do with the roofing and walls. It is sometimes particular on where it can be placed so if you want bar stools or design other than the shop, make it big enough. Took me a long time to place a bar in the old homes in sactuary but I found a place I like it.

Yes on the two story bars. I really wish I had some way to link pictures but I have a two story restaurant/ bar in one of my settlements and they seem to like both.

I have a theory about the residents that don't sleep. Save your game and kill them. See if it has synth components.. if not reload :)

Where do you have your bar? Why is at your front gate, ha?

Make many restaurant/ bars (depending on what you can build) and it will reduce the grouping like I said, previously. And place it where you can handle a group of people? I don't know of a way to tell which people to drink where... I mean you cannot do that in real life neither

I assume you used the bar and restaurant shops right? I just don't see how you could incorporate both into the same building?
