32 settlers in Egret Tours Marina

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 1:31 am

There was an attack to Egret Tours Marina.

So I went and help and checked out my settlement.

Holy molly! I have 32 settlers there!!!

After that I checked my settlements in the Pipboy my settlement usually have around 18 settles (funny, I only have 6 in charisma! :-o ) But, strangely enough there are 32 there! :-o

Do all escaped synth congregate there?

?(Same synth, different day, they say!)

Is it just a bug of mine? Or is it something... possibly deeper?! :-o

Other than that I am level 60 am completed the Institute quest already.

If you are level 60, you have 10 charisma? I is possible to have a lot of settlers with 10 charisma, with 10 charisma you can have 20 settlers. But there are meds and items to raise your charisma, so you can have much more. If you did other things and had a recruitment beacon in your settlement and donned clothing and took meds to raise your charisma, more settlers will arrive quite fast.

I think this should be changed. I have only few settlements and only one recruitment beacon. My charisma is 6 - so 16 settlers. But I was in Diamond City to talk with people, do smaller quests and so on and I decided to wear a suit (Charisma +2), and a Minutemen Hat (Charisma +1). In game it was at maximum one day, before I left and changed into my combat clothing. But this was enough for the settlement with the radio beacon to grow to 18!

And since settlements seem to be quite taxing on the games resources, especially the NPC schedules, I think they should change this. A settlement with 30 people is quite unmanageable, even 20 are a PITA, as things are.

Ideally it should be possible to set a settler limit per settlement. There are settlements who become crowded and ugly if they have more that 10-12 settlers.

Similar thing with one of my settlements. Taffington Boathouse.

Was at Covenant when I got an attack notification at TB. So ran over, as it's only a 10 second sprint away. I hadn't been back to TB since I set up the transmitter so was a bit shocked to find 32 settlers clustered on the front porch tearing through the 3 unlucky raiders. .38 pipe pistols may be awful but 32 of them can rip anyone apart.

Sent a couple away on supply duty, allocated 6 to guard duty and 1 to scrapping. But the rest won't move off the porch and they block the stairs. I had to build a staircase on the outside just to get up to the 2nd floor. Which I then littered with sleeping bags. There's just not enough space at TB for that many people.

CHA = 10 + 2 from armour mods.

Did you take meds for temporarily raising your charisma, may be because you were trading in Covenant, or talking to people? Because you have 10+12 Charisma = 22 settlers without doing anything special, I do not know how much meds can give you, but it was mentioned here that with all the bonuses you can reach 32 settlers.

I think this should be fixed, and per settlement upper limit should be possible to select.

Nope. No meds. I'm clean, man, I swear.

I only went to Covenant to give Strong a super mutant helmet that I found.

I know what the limit is supposed to be. I have Starlight (24) and Greentop (28) that are over the limit too.

As mentioned on other threads/sites. Settlements are bugged as foook.

Same thing for me.

9 points charisma, +3 from clothing, level 88.

I went to the castle after not going for quite a long time. 41 settlers!

I didn't even think that was possible.

Sudden population explosions surpassing your Charisma can be synth infiltrators. Best to kill them all and start over just to be on the safe side

<--- Went from 18 to 36 overnight at Starlight. Now down to 34 after playing a round of "Find The Synth".

My gf had 59 at croup manor, we don't know why or how. The only way to house them would have been to build a giant honeycomb so she sent them elsewhere

Once I get more than about 10 settlers, I give up on assigning anything and, since I don't really store anything at my settlements anyhow, I don't even assign beds anymore.

I figure - I need 2 settlers for security (that's 6 towers, sometimes 8 for some reason) and 6 settlers for farming (that's 36 plants - that's enough at any one settlement for me) and sometimes I assign the other 2 to scrapping tables.

I've just given up on assigning people and just dress all the men in harnasses and the women in road leathers and give them good weapons and plenty of defensive turrets and leave it at that.

They don't even recognize me as their leader or "boss" anyhow and treat me like furniture so why should I administer them so much.

Besides, I have so many settlements that I haven't developed at all (basically because I never have enough wood) and they take up so much time!

Saturdays are my administrative day so I'll be visiting all of my settlements and selling off my junk. Hopefully I can do something with Country Crossing, Finch Farms, Hangman's and the Coastal Village.

If you do the quests for Father (except for the point of no return final mission) you still get synth infiltrators ? I mean isn't the Institute your friend ?
