"Settling In" siding with the Institute

Post » Sat Dec 12, 2015 4:43 am

I understand that it is impractical to expect prolonged continued major interactions with the Player's chosen faction after the Main Questline is over but couldn't we get just a bit more? It is rather frustrating when the department heads of the Institute say that want to talk to you once you settle in but even 4+ in game months later you aren't "settled in".

I talked to the department heads and one gave me a quest. however the quest was to go to an area and clear out some ghouls that were getting to close to some research stuff... however when I get there, its an area I already cleared out. No ghouls to kill. There is a settler with a quest marker but I only have "trade with you" dialog.

I got that quest too, the settlement had been cleared long ago. The ghouls never respawned and the quest eventually just vanished from my PipBoy, not failed or completed just vanished...

What is there to talk about? You beat the brotherhood and the railroad now they will make improvements under ground and keep synths as their unwilling servants

I mean either you joined the institute and decided synths are robots without free will and should serve man or you joined the BoS or railroad because you do think they have free will but should be destroyed for being abominations or freed for being human.

Synths have no real will. They are robots.

Let's not bring up the Synths and free will debate here.

Truthfully I would be fine if there wasn't additional content added; IF they didn't have the NPC dialogue saying that they are waiting on the Player for things to happen. Yes, it is petty but it is one of those things that irritate me to no end.
