You may have noticed im following that map as close as i can. So let me know if you want those paths where they are and i'll see what i can do :)

Yes, that would be beyond great if you kept the paths. It's already looking better than I had imagined your consistency is phenomenal.

I like to call it multi-tasking but it's really just a short attention span. :P

Ha, yeah tell me about it

Ok cool, i'll try and follow that map as closely as i can. Do you have any idea's about size? As in, compared to Vvardenfell

I'll try to get it done as soon as i can, internet have been a bit dodgy lately so its slowing me down a little, plus i have to deal with RL :)

I was thinking somewhere around the size of the island that Telvannis Port is on in TR would be the exact size, and placing it https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Photos/MGE%20Screenshot%209.bmp?w=cfedae22, where my character is acting as the rough center. Is that doable, or too much work? If you already have a spot for it that's fine, I was just thinking about it from a conflicting landmass / actual-room-on-the-map point of view.

DOH! Broken link im afraid :)

Ive imported what ive got already, and i think it may be slightly larger than the Telvanni island. That's without scaling the map atall though, so i'll make a few versions and see what i come up with

How does http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/SG-Monkey/Heightmaps/Morrowind2010-07-0608-44-26-28.jpg look to you? Postition wise that is.

And just for your information, it has a total of 139 cells :)

EDIT:

I had another lookat your screenshot and i http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/SG-Monkey/Heightmaps/Morrowind2010-07-0609-03-55-40.jpg slightly north and a few cells east.

Which do you prefer?

If I would require your help, but have only hand-made map, what should be in this map? Do I need to create a map with a height-scale? Or is a drawing good enough? :)

That is incredible! Position wise the second one is my preference, it looks more detached which is what I wanted. thank you.

Dude........thats awesome.

So, pretty much your working on a heightmap of Tamriel already?

Allready made the outline of all of the regions, did that yonks ago. And over the past few months ive been making proper height maps with hills and rivers and such for the rest of the provinces that arent being worked on by others.

If I would require your help, but have only hand-made map, what should be in this map? Do I need to create a map with a height-scale? Or is a drawing good enough? :)

A hand drawn map is fine, you can sketch out where you want paths, rivers, hills mountains and such and i can use it pretty well.

EDIT: You can use http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/SG-Monkey/Heightmaps/plan.jpg for an idea of the scale, its an unscaled heightmap of Vvardenfall Aslong as you dont resize it your all good. Just draw your map over the top of it the size/shape you want. That will give me a much better idea of what sorta thing your after

So I finally made my map http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZBbtk47vZw&feature=related
Please note, that Darker is more higher. So its opposite of usual, where lighter is higher. Otherwise, I hope you will understand it, if not, I could explain what will you require. Yep, it's paint. :P

Edit: Position should be west of Vvardenfell.

Hey all, internet has been screwed for the last few days, only just came back online, well, yesterday, but i was drinking :D

So anyway, here are some screens of the map i made for Malek

http://s974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/SG-Monkey/Heightmaps/?action=view¤t=Morrowind2010-07-1110-35-07-37.jpg
http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/SG-Monkey/Heightmaps/Morrowind2010-07-1110-35-27-91.jpg
http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/SG-Monkey/Heightmaps/Morrowind2010-07-1110-35-44-84.jpg

He's lucky too, spent alot of time on this map, my favorite one so far. Nearly didnt give it away. But im just too nice not too

Now's the http://s250.photobucket.com/albums/gg242/ltchriss/?action=view¤t=planTS.jpg. Sorry SGM. :)

Ok, i think i get the general idea of the map, what are the red areas though?

Also, my apologies but im a bit colour blind, and i cant tell what areas are dessert, plains, hills, forests, or swamps

I could try and guess at what was what, but i can guarantee that it would be wrong :P

It would be awesome if you could do this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/redwoodtreesprite/DragonQuest/dw1-over1.jpg

Somewhat near the Morrowind mainland to the north, is fine. Allow for Bloodmoon of course. :)

It is smaller than it seems in the pic, as the first Dragon Warrior game was a pretty small world.

Completely missed this :(

You still want this making? If so i should work on this before i make Fenyx's map, first come first served an all that :)

Oh what a night was yesterday...
Well, red areas are cities, meant that those should be more or less flat. If you want, i can remake map, by dotting deserts, for example, and creating symbols for other areas. But the reason i draw the map like I did, is I wanted you to see, height. :)

If you wouldnt mind, it would make it much easier for me, and better than me guessing at what was what. If you take a look at the map Malek posted, that is the perfect sorta map to work from, obviously don't add every tiny detail, But it would be alot easier for me.

Just a little http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/SG-Monkey/Heightmaps/Morrowind2010-07-1212-44-23-31.jpg ive started working on for Mystery05 :)

Had to patch MGE to use over 4GB of ram to create distant land for this baby, its rather large to say the least. This area takes up 6509 cells, obviously, no underwater cells are imported, apart from the slope from land to the ocean bed.

Just thinking... what would someone do with 6509 cells? It would take years to fill them with statics alone. :D

Ha, this is only a portion of the map too

At the moment its at 1:1 scale, but it can obviously be scaled down a considerable ammount, or up for that matter :)
