This is sort of a weird request, but could you make a heightmap of the Morrowind mainland? I don't use TR and don't really plan on going there to explore, but I like looking across the pond, so to speak, and feeling like Vvardenfell isn't the only thing in the world.

I know you had raised the land, but not that you had added hills and mountains, both of which would be great time savers.

I have no problem with uploading it for you, but i'd rather wait for some of the TR guys to say, "Hell, we don't mind!" Or words to that effect. Like i said, i don't want to appear to be treading on anyones toes.

Im actually quite a nice thoughtfull person. Beleive it ot not.

Any of the Skyrim boys will tell you....

I've been looking at this since the topic first started and thought that it was rather interesting. I'm very impressed so far and would like to make a request myself.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y76/Caultus/islandmap.jpg

Is it usable or should I modify it more? Right now I'm not sure about size or location, but you're probably busy right now I don't think that it matters for now.

Yeah thats useable. Would only take a minute or two to mock something up like that. I can see that there are paths. But what about the squares on the top left hand side? What are they supposed to be?

I don't know, the paths and those squares are part of the original map. I just rotated the original map, tweaked the image, then left the markers on the land since I thought that it would be too much work to get rid of them.

Actually, could you move the topmost island a little further north? I think that it would look a little better that way.

Oh what a night was yesterday...
Well, red areas are cities, meant that those should be more or less flat. If you want, i can remake map, by dotting deserts, for example, and creating symbols for other areas. But the reason i draw the map like I did, is I wanted you to see, height. :)

Hey Fenyx, started mocking up something for you this morning. I've just kinda guessed so far, to see if it was anything like what your after. This is just the first version by the way, spent 10 minutes on it so far.
I used the default size of the island you sent me, and personally, i think it needs scaling up quite a bit to get any kind of detail in the paths and rivers.

Just thinking... what would someone do with 6509 cells? It would take years to fill them with statics alone. :D

Ha, it would take a whole yes.

Vvardenfell contains 1800 odd exterior cells, Skyrim is about 4000 if i remmeber correctly, and Highrock is just onder 4000

Just to give you an idea of scope :P

Oh, great! It looks very well. Only thing, http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg242/ltchriss/Morrowind2010-07-1310-47-55-54.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg242/ltchriss/Morrowind2010-07-1310-47-41-77.jpg side is intended to be not that high. And yes, you can scale, if you think, that's better for paths and rivers!
I'm in no big haste, so take your time
Thanks, A LOT! :)
Cheers!

Glad you like the look of it :)

Like i said, was just a quick draft more than anything, spent very little time perfecting it. I will scale the map up about 150% or so, see how it turns out, and i'll fix the height of that edge of the map too.

One thing i thought id just quickly ask. The area just left to where you pointed out, do you want that to be a steep drop to the ocean almost like a cliff? Or do you want it more mountain like (not so steep)?

And lastly, if you have any suggestions or anything you'd like to see tweaked just let me know.

I would like that specific area steep like a cliff towards the sea, but not so steep towards the lands. Where plains are, it's great if those ar pretty much flat, with little hills. That's all I can think of. :)

This is fantastic thank you! Sorry I haven't responded sooner but my computer just recently blew up and it is now hard to even access the internet right now. So until I can cobble my computer back together I'm afraid I won't have a chance to play with it. Till then, hope you have fun with your other land masses and tongue lashings. lol
