Just wondering a little about this perk. So if you're in combat and you crouch, it takes you out of combat? Can you then be hidden from enemies? When I first saw it, it kind of reminded me of a rogues vanish in WoW. How exactly does it work?

It's like an invisibility that lasts only 1 second.

There is a neat trick to it. If you crouch and stab quickly, it is a sneak attack.

So you don't really have enough time to get away and remain hidden?
