Shadowfang Keep RELz

Post » Mon Sep 13, 2010 10:25 am

The mod adds the area of south Silverpine Forest and its locales to the game.

Features
========
The entire area of south Silverpine Forest is included, which traverses the great and mysteriously abandoned Greymane Wall, the sullen Pyrewood Village, a camp of Dalaran magi, and, of course, the grand citadel of Shadowfang Keep, home to the traitorous Archmage Arugal and his pet worgen.
Also in the mod are twenty-four new pieces of weapons clothing, and armor, from the Rugged Leather Spaulders to Shadowfang.
A questline is included in the mod, which leads you through Shadowfang Keep the first time. After the quest line is completed, you can utilize a Stone of Reset outside the castle to run it again and again, to collect all the loot you can from the random boss drops.

Your other mod The Scarlet Monastery was such a close replica of the original, now this one as well. This is really great work.

Wow. (Hey, that's a pun in this case). But, seriously. Wow. Based on the screenshots, it looks incredible. I'll have to debate whether or not to download it lest I re-ignite my wow addiction, which is actually why I disappeared from oblivion modding for a year or so. But it looks really accurate and.... oh what the heck I'm sure I'll end up playing it lol.

Silverpine forest? Huh? Where is that?

Is this in its own worldspace?

South of Tirisfal and west of Hillsbrad, in a completely unrelated game. Technically I don't think this mod is 100% legal, but since it's not for sale and Blizzard is known for encouraging fan art, it's probably safe enough... and I must agree that it's very well done!

It's in its own worldspace. Yes, I quit WoW back on September 14th, 2009. No, I just make these mods because I love modding more than WoW.

Oh.

Em.

Gee.

I've been away on a WoW binge myself -- (ironically) this weekend one guild will be doing SM with some alts, and next week I'll be running another guild through Shadowfang. I've been thinking recently of making WoW-style dungeons for Oblivion (bigger than the average dungeon, rare loot, more challenging fights, related quests), and out of curiosity I looked around in TESNexus. Holy cow did you do a good job!

Since I've been gone so long, I'll be starting over with a clean install when I get back to TES -- and I'll definitely be checking out Shadowfang and the Monastery! Just from the pics alone, they look amazing (SM even looks like I could run right down to UC).

I'm guessing the Dalaran and Pyrewood NPCs would be hostile to everyone...?

:goodjob:

Thanks for sharing. Had a quick read of the description but didn't see anything... Got a level recommendation for the mod?

Cheers

So what's the verdict on this mod?
How does it fit in with an FCOM based game?
And is the moving of the player character to the new worldspace handled in an immersive way? IOW does it feel like a part of Tamriel or more like a mini total conversion?
