I've played Skyrim since launch but near the start of the year my video card died. After being unable to play for a few months I found an older video card of mine a few nights ago and tried it. I'm able to run on the standard high settings with a few things bumped up higher. Everything works fine except one thing, the shadows on grass that I believe were added in the 1.5 patch.

It's hard to tell but the grass does seem to get a very tiny bit of shadow on them, but it's really only noticable with moving shadows. For example the shadow from the windmill's fan can be seen casting on them but again it's just barely there. They worked before the previous card died but with reinstalling the old one I did a fresh install of the game (since there's been a couple patches and I knew my mods would be outdated). I have the exact same issue on my laptop, though it is running medium settings.

Also, that screenshot is from the laptop and at the time I believe I had "Climates of Tamriel" and "Lush Trees and Grass" installed and enabled to see if it was any differnt (and it was not). I've tried running Skyrim with and without mods but there seems to be no difference at all. As I stated it's the same on both computers and the desktop is using a fresh install so there's no mods at all. All drivers are up to date, I've even tried older video drivers. I've tried adding "bShadowsOnGrass=1" in several spots of the skyrimprefs and skyrim .ini files but nothing seems to make a difference. I've even tried setting it to 0 just in case and still had no change. I don't know if I'm just doing something wrong or what..
