I found two ant hills, cleared out the 'bad' one. For some reason it feels like I'm missing something.......

I may be stupid, but i've never figured out what's the deal with that place.

There should be a dead scientist with a book there.
There is also a tunnel near. Look around. There is a lot of loot to be found.
Also if you wait 72 hours near the scientist the book will respawn on his body.

yea with the ant hills if you go into the ant hill where tiny ants are(good ants) you can put a stimpak into there eggs.............Now thats the weird part. I havent found any difference with anything between the tiny ants and the evil mad scintist responding back......... by if you put a stimpak in the eggs or not.... Is this just some knid of easter egg?????????????????????????????????

I found the researcher, did the stim pack/egg thing, found some loot....it seemed that more was ment to happen.

Using the stimpack on the egg pile increases the number of ant nectars you get from the rubbish pile.

Ran in to Lazlo or Sam Warrick lately?

Shalebridge has a lot bugs, the technical kind, and I suspect the place or story got downsized to stop the game crashing
