Shaman (Melee Healer) Help needed!

Post » Thu Mar 27, 2014 2:47 pm

So I'm interested in making a melee healer similar to the class I make in every Elder Scrolls game. My ideal class will use two handed weapons, a restoration staff as a secondary, and a mixture of light and medium armor. That part is easy to figure out! But here is where I'm stuck...

Should I pick Templar or Sorcerer as a base class? During the beta weekend, I played as a Templar and felt I was rather competent but that is not a sentiment shared on the forum. I see many are complaining that Templars are sub par in this aspect. Since I want to be a healer, I want to make sure I can actually keep up with the damage being dealt or else I'm going to have a bad time. Would a Sorcerer have an easier time healing? And would that class be suitable using a two-handed melee weapon as a primary? Or is it worth it to ignore the naysayers and stick with the Templar?

Thanks for reading!

If you're running melee, gear is an issue. Light armour will give you better healing stats over anything else. In this regard it does not matter if you are a sorcerer or templar.

screw the nay-sayers!

if something is broken in BETA..... it's just that. broken in beta.

As for templar vs sorcerer healing.

Templar can heal without the need of a restoration staff. sorcerer can heal only with one. choose what you want ^_^
