I don't know about the companions, but in the College of Winterhold i was able to do a bunch of miscellaneous stuff by talking to other members. So if you miss that stuff just talk to other people. That should extend it.

The companions are a bunch of mercaneries. There like the crappy version of the Dark Brotherhood. Hail Sithis.

As far as main quest lines for the guilds, they are not entirely too long, but I think almost every place has extra quests you can do. These aren't necessarily relevant to the main story/quest line, but provide you with extra gold/loot. I actually enjoy that the quests aren't too long, but I think the Companions do have one of the shorter lines. :)

Nah, the college is longer, more interesting and has more sidestuff. The Companions are the worst guild available.

the companions never gave me any radiant quests until i was the leader, because yeah, its the leader who does all the actual mercenary work. considering how fast they shove you through that questline, i think it was all just a conspiracy by kodlak because he was sick of doing everything.

The order of quests is wrong.

They should make us talk with NPC X (the one that gives the side-quest), before talking to the main quest giver of the guild....

I think that completing all the side-quests in Guild is necessary.

Remember that before, we had to kill rats in NPC X basemant? And this was a necessary quest?
Morrowind was also like that...

Two quests and one is in the Inner Circle of the companions. That's wrong. Those side quests are renewable and not germane to the character and plot developement.

From what I've read in this forum, all the guild quest lines are shortened. Obviously, people complained about the lengths of these quests or the developers felt more people would buy and play the game if it were not so involved.

That's a mistake. ( Or they calculated they would not lose the more involved gamers and would capture more market share.)

And taken with the loss of abilities and magic, it hurts Bethesda and the Scrolls. On the plus side, the writing is a notch above Oblivion, and the music is every bit as inspiring as the previous two games. But the game world, though huge, is largely inaccessable. That is not what Bethesda games are known for. I'm worried. Yes, I love that I can now play another elder scrolls game, and there is still enough world to explore, but the limts are more than just disapointing. I'm afraid this is the future.

Inaccessible? Is as free as It's always been, only a bit more steep.

Well 6 main quests but it also has about 5 Radiant quests that impact the story line of the companions in some degree ( and 2 of those have multiple parts) and then there are the repeatable cash quests.

So really there are the 6 main, 5 Radiant story related quests, and infinite cash repeatable quests... my only issue is you need to do a number of repeatable quests to unlock some of the other story line quests it seems. In particular

Anyone found the beast form amazingly weak for an ability. I play on expert and even on the first night you change I died on the first whiterun guard I encountered. The attack is less, the defense is less, and the combat system is worse.

Can people please be careful of the spoiler-type things they say in these threads? I think some people think it isn't a spoiler unless it's about the central storyline, and that ain't the case. At least put "possible spoilers" or something similar in the title of the thread.

i think they spent most of the time on the little misc quests, the main ones and guild quests are GOOD but that doesnt mean there cant be a dlc for each guild.. there's definitely room for dlc, as in being a werewolf or, a nightingale or the dark brotherhood listener, i think there will be LOTS of dlc coming
