I love the waterfall! I myself use two waterfall mods in my game.

May I offer a little suggestion?
How about small rocks around the base of the cliffs that the water drops off of. It'd make it look a lot more organic by taking away the "steps/stair" like feeling.

Example:

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll try this later today.

I'm delighted to see this is still being worked on. Too often such ambitious projects are completely abandoned, but this one really has such a sense of style.

Two screenshots I took when I was testing one of our cells. I especially like the second one.

real world ?

nice shots.

I think the streetlight's "head" part is too big compare to the stick it stand on. you may imagine a real world streetlight.
I suggest resize it smaller by nifscope.

Hmm...we could set you to decorating interiors, but you'd have to claim certain areas so nobody else works on them and causes conflicts.

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot that I wanted to post this:

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b105/shannon1978/1.jpg

Its a new baroque style castle set. Its my first real foray into modeling. Ive tinkered with models here and there, but never made brand new ones from scratch before. its nowhere near complete though, but when it is done its going to be awesome. it will add a lot of flair to the mod.

Oh... me wants!

I've sent all my clothes files to Mr. Swiveller. I do have a new copy of Morrowind on it's way, so if you'd like any other clothes, let me know.

Many thanks, Elynda. :foodndrink:

Would you be able to do a nineteenth-century bobby uniform? The default guards, sporting Roman-style armour, look increasingly out of place.

Yes, I can attempt that type of guard outfit. It had been suggested when we were tossing around ideas way back when. Not sure about the helmet though. Any mesh suggestions? At this point I'm only capable of doing texturing for MW.

Very cool - thanks!

I am not sure about the mesh either. Does anyone know whether a pith helmet resource is available somewhere?

@ Clavis,

Thank you for your kind offer! We greatly appreciate it. :-).

The Wanderer has sent you a PM. I am sorry to not be able to reply to your PM directly; most of the forum options currently do not work under my account. Anything I type is lost, unless I use the 'reply' and then the 'edit' button.

(I really ought not to use this thread in this way, but currently it is the only way in which I can use this forum.)

Hi Tes96 and for all those who are interested...

Yes... There are a few of us currently working on it so this project is still very much alive :)

We have set up home over on a different forum... there is a open to public section there...
it's just that we've not really gotten around to putting much in there yet...

We should be making some sort of announcement fairly soon though so please keep watching...
and thanks everyone for your interest and support.

Indeed we are. :-)

There's lots of good stuff in this mod. We've built large new areas to explore, and are using many new meshes and textures.

There were plenty of new meshes, textures and areas a year ago. At this point I'm far more interested in interiors, NPC's and quests.

DarkDiva... just for your information :)
Guess what not only is there now even more than there was a year ago...
By the time it finished we will have probably at least of doubled it again.

Oh and guess what else is also being worked on as I speak...
Interiors and quests...
But... unless you are a member of our project team...
you are unlikely to find out much about any of those until release...

as for the reason for that... as River Song would say... "Spoilers" :whisper:

Just for your information - I don't care what the quests are exactly but for a project that's been going on for well over, what? 4 years at least. Updates that only focus on exteriors and new objects/ideas/areas but no hint of interiors, NPC's or quests is the opposite of encouraging news or progress. Ilsidor was a great project too once upon a time - that eventually was released as an empty shell. A big beautiful city and one of the most beautiful castles I've ever seen - completely empty of NPC's, quests or 90% of interiors. Ilsidor is not the only one that suffered such an end.

Edit - Oh and yeah Shannon's been doing the whole "spoilers" magic show for the last 4 years. Because the shops, taverns and homes of the average NPC is really going to be that plot specific that we can't see them, ever. Let alone the NPC's on the street presumably going about there business. Never mind that the only way it could spoil anything by showing such interiors, or 'extra' characters is simply that the whole place really is just an empty front and everyone is dead or vanished in which case I suppose we've been 'spoiled' all along.

Interiors are hard. I've forced myself to work on at least one interior every modding session, and I'm still behind. I have to admit, four years without some some interior shots is a bit long - since there should be a handful of non plot-specific areas for atmosphere, but I'm willing to cut them some slack on that.

And if it does go south, we may get some cool resources out of it.

To my memory I recall seeing exactly one interior shot for this.

Yes, taking a balanced, some of this (exteriors) some of that (interiors, NPC's, Dialogue) approach is a great way to make sure you don't burn out with only a third of what you're hopping to accomplished completed. Not everything is done in the areas you consider to not be your strong point but at least some of it is, so when you're done with all the 'fun bits' you'll be less likely to turn around and see nothing but a huge incomplete and unpleasant job in front of you and decide it's just to much. Watching Ravenwood grow I've become quite a fan of your approach and have every confidence in your creation, I'm quite looking forward to it.

As for the cool resources. I've been around long enough to remember when Shannon was - less than willing - to share any such thing. I'm glad to see that he's at least starting to allow other modders to assist but I remain skeptical and wary.
