Message from shannon:

Heres an update, a few pics of the new cathedral tiles I made. I used nifscope to seperate bits of several meshes, some are barabus's, some are bethesda and a few are from a couple other modders whos names escape me at the moment, plus textures from various sources.

That's a very pretty church! The floor tiles too are wonderful.

Last I heard, Shannon's been busying himself with RPG Maker XP. Hopefully it's just another temporary break from MW modding. I'm personally hoping that the Doom mod will be re-released soon with the new levels and such. Although this project's obviously pretty awesome as well.

I hope so. I just looked at the HP of RPG Maker XP and it looks... hm... like you can only make games with it that look worse than any handheld console can bring up today. It reminds me of the graphics of my old gameboy, just coloured. So hopefully it?s gonna be a short break for him, it would be a shame to let this die, especially because of the cool models.

Ok, this mod is back on track. Sortof. Ive been making tilesets to go along with the city, because if it was lacking something, it was dungeons. Sure, I could use vanilla bethesda meshes if I had completely lost my mind and decided to fill my mod with garbage. I have no timeframe for when its going to be complete, but look at all the modder's resources Ive made lately. Those are for the city.

Really great news, this was one of those huge projects that creates both expectation and fear of never being released because of the massive work it gives to the modders, so it's great to hear that it's still being worked on ,and with new tilesets OMG!
Anyway good luck with it Shannon, best wishes for this :)

Great to see this is still..alive.

I still have the first two test versions from way back in 2006 which even back then was quite lively with bloodthirsty murderers waiting in alleyways and all sorts of creepy twisted turns in the design as if the city was a dream HP Lovecraft was dreaming..inviting us to explore through wispy illusionary doors of the imagination.

Shannon can think of nobody better to write the dark brotherhood and vampire quests than you. If the mod ever gets finished that is. PM me if you are intrested.

should he pick up where he left off and finish this thing or what?

Hey you! The guy who reads threads and never posts! Yeah, you! Chime in here a bit. Give the guy some support, he needs it.

All right, thats the spirit!

We (shannon and I) need help though. We cant do it alone, its simply too epic in scale. I need volunteers to join my efforts in creating one of the best morrowind mods ever. Send a PM if you are interested. We cant accept all applications of course, too many hands spoil the soup or something. Only the best of the best. We need people who can build stuff first and foremost. People who can write would also be useful. Most importantly however, is that you be truly dedicated to seeing this thing through to the end. It wont be easy, and it might take another year or more. Dont say you'll help only to disappear a month later.

Dont know how to mod or dont want to? Thats fine, theres another way to help! Hold our feet to the fire, support our efforts with comments and suggestions. You can even give harsh criticism if you so choose. Who cares if you've posted in this thread once already? Become a loyal fan! Its the best way to keep a team together. Without community support, I just dont see how anyone could keep this level of high-quality modding up for long.

Long live Morrowind!!!!!!

I have special powers that lets me see when people are lurking. I know you are there. Post. You know as well as I do that this might very well be the last giant MW mod. You can help keep it alive.

Post.

I just found out about this mod now and it looks great. I hope this gets done since there are not enough of these kinds of games out there. (especially of good quality) My most favorite game ever is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines which is entirely set in Los Angeles.

PS. There is a game out in German and is going to be coming out in English soon called Venetica that is similar in style to this mod. It is an RPG set in 16th century Venice and it's surroundings.

PPS. I have done some modding on my own but have never released anything but it will be a little while until I would be able to help.

Dont post to satisfy my ego. Post to give this mod a shot in the arm. Let everyone who is working on it know that you are waiting for it. Let them feel that they are part of an actual community, not just a bunch of people who happen to be on a forum together. These boards have been lacking a sense of community for a long time. Lets bring a little of that back. We are not as many as we once were, that is true. Yet still, there is enough of us to make a huge family.

Join the family.
