Shannon and Barabus's city

Post » Wed Jul 07, 2010 7:33 am

I just found out about this mod now and it looks great. I hope this gets done since there are not enough of these kinds of games out there. (especially of good quality) My most favorite game ever is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines which is entirely set in Los Angeles.

PS. There is a game out in German and is going to be coming out in English soon called Venetica that is similar in style to this mod. It is an RPG set in 16th century Venice and it's surroundings.

PPS. I have done some modding on my own but have never released anything but it will be a little while until I would be able to help.

Thank you very much for your reply. I too, am a huge fan of the Vampire game. In fact, this entire mod was very much inspired by that game. And its true, theres not enough games like Morrowind available. Its an action RPG for those who arent afraid to invest a huge amount of time to building their character. This mod will take that to even greater levels.

Yeah, a newbie modder would probably be in over his head here. But thats quite alright, because you have already made a huge contribution just by showing your support. People like you will help us stay motivated.

Shannon wants to know...

should he pick up where he left off and finish this thing or what?

Do what he like to do.

If he thinking about release another resource pack, I suggest the interior cell tileset of these pictures.
it looks like he made both common and rich style indoor tileset by some excellent retexture and new models.

Well, you certinally have my support! I'm glad you and Shannon have not given up on this, it looks masterful thus far. Although I certinally wouldn't want to see such excellent modders burn out, it would be a great loss, IMHO, if this was one of those projects that just eventually fell by the wayside.

Sounds like I can't really help with the actual work then. I can do basic stuff with the CS, but I do mean BASIC; anything requiring scripting, dialog, or an external program is a bit over my head. So, motivation it is. :woot: :tops:

Cool, this mod looks quality. Looks like there's been alot of work put into the modelling. Can't wait to see this complete :) But don't rush it :P http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/malled/files/2009/03/guinness11.jpg

I posted in this very thread a year ago and then again four months ago and yes, I?m still looking forward to this mod. It looks extremly cool and promising. Besides, I?m a [censored] (--> edit: this was another word for bad) modder... ok, that doesn?t help you I guess. So I just hope you?re not going to let this die even without my help.

Hey you! The guy who reads threads and never posts! Yeah, you! Chime in here a bit. Give the guy some support, he needs it.

I want this mod more than I want TR or LGNPC.

Y'know, I think I was particularly eloquent here:
Looks astounding. And huge. Huge and astounding. And jaw dropping. Huge and astounding and jaw dropping. And beautiful. Huge and astounding and jaw dropping and beautiful.
You most certainly have my support: cheerleading from the sidelines and ready with a half-time orange. Or a cup of tea.

*takes the whip in a show of overwhelming support by... whipping them into working*

Ehem, I just wanted to say that this mod looks extremely promising, and it would be a shame to see it go to nothing after so much has been done. The middle of the journey is often not as exciting as the beginning, or as roller-coasting as the ending, but its perhaps the most important, so hang in there!

I'm not really a newbie modder since I have been creating mods since soon after Morrowind came out. I just never released any of my mods publicly since either they didn't get to a state that I was willing to release or were minor things that weren't worth releasing. (Also I made a very large amount of compatibility mods for myself)

Exactly my thoughts...

This project looks great!
I am not a modder, so I'll be "cheering from the sidelines" with others like me!
I hope you'll manage to get this to completion.

Good Luck!

Looks awesome so far, I'm not sure how much time I can spend on a project like this though, I have a tendancy to bite off a lot more than I can chew, and I'm not really a reliable modder.

What do you need doing? Is this a project where I can just do something small (*cough* miniscule) here and there?

Hmm...we could set you to decorating interiors, but you'd have to claim certain areas so nobody else works on them and causes conflicts.

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot that I wanted to post this:

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b105/shannon1978/1.jpg

Its a new baroque style castle set. Its my first real foray into modeling. Ive tinkered with models here and there, but never made brand new ones from scratch before. its nowhere near complete though, but when it is done its going to be awesome. it will add a lot of flair to the mod.

I did some testing back when this mod first began and have been looking forward to it ever since, even though I have not been doing much with MW lately because of WoW, I will get back to it when this one comes out. Also still grabbing some good mods for when I start again.

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b105/shannon1978/1.jpg looks awesome nikki.
