Noob question, why is Cyrodiil shaped like the Conjuration/Daedra symbol?

Their little jig top the Leukochrysos loosed some nasty little sub-graphemic free radicals all over the local chrono-topographical subgradient, not to mention the havoc those buggers wrought on Nth fold Aurbical meninges in the pre-visual deocortex. Any perceived typographic pareidolia is a sad echo of that tragedy.
