I fail to see what metal has to do with a good RPG ....
totally nothing , its just nopise lod of noise and angry kids jumping around .... The 9th of Bethooven woudl suit better than a Metal crap if you ask me , but the most fitting themes are just like Conan , as also the Game is inspired by it so Basil Poledouris is a good choice to check as composer ....

Third time I have posted this in a similar thread, but has to be done.

First time I see it, but that's just beyond awesome! Bunch of possibly intoxicated, half nekkid Nords going at it on stage. That's how you can imagine it being done on the yearly Skyrim fair to commemorate the existence of mead. :foodndrink:

In the little town in Gloucestershire where I live, we have a medieval fayre every year to celebrate the battle of Tewkesbury in the War of the Roses. These guys have come over from Germany a few times, and of course they play right outside the beer tent.

Hehe, no better place than the beer stand at "one of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tewkesbury_Medieval_Festival of the country". :goodjob:

Ok, let's anolyse what you just said:

A. "It's just noise". Well, according to thefreedictionary.com, "Sound or a sound of any kind". So the 9th of Bethooven is also noise.
B. "angry kids jumping around" Mmhm. Tell me, what will we be doing while we listen to Skyrim's music? Dancing in a ball? No, we'll be fighting airborn dragons with a sword in our hand and beer on our breath. For some reason, classical music doesn't seem to fit that scene.

Nothing. Which is about as much as any other genre of music has to do with a good RPG.

What, you didn't think Marilyn Manson's 'This is the new [censored]' was just perfect for the Dragon Age trailer? :P

i think you guys are both wrong. metal is stupid and mindless and boring and unsuited for skyrim, and bethooven's 9th is more than an hour long and unsuited for skyrim.
listen to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atnJ1A5kEWw. THAT song is suited for skyrim down to the choir and epicness that skyrim needs.

You are entitled to your opinion of metal, but really, going out and stating its mindless and stupid...is well childish and immature, metal music has some of the biggest festivals world wide. I can easily say any type of music you like is mindless , stupid and boring, doesnt make it true. Also...

boring
...wait what? Metal boring? wow, I would hate to see what you consider exciting.

And one last thing...

metal is stupid and mindless and boring

metal is stupid, mindless, and boring

Fixed your grammar for ya. :D

For those of you putting down metal in their posts, you really have no idea what you are talking about. Metal music is by far one of the more talented musical genres today, and you can find A LOT of quality stuff. While it does take a while to get used to some of it (not all though), don't be so quick to put down others musical tastes. Might I suggest Opeth as a band to listen to if you want just a sliver of what metal has to offer? Also adding to the list, I think this song is perfect for Skyrim:

Yes, its wow music, but it fits perfectly with the North/Viking theme of Skyrim
