Now I'm sure you are familiar with "STOP! YOU VIOLATED THE LAW!", "... arrow in the knee." and "We're watching you. Scum." But that is not what this thread is about.. In this thread you will provide quotes that are said out loud in any TES game whether speaking to themselves, or to the player, or possibly to NPCs that are also relatively unknown or not referenced by most forum goers. I'll start with one:

Not so much unknown as unsung (at least it seems to be): Azura's speech to you after confronting Dagoth Ur at Red mountain.

"You no longer bear the burden of prophecy.

The doomed Dwemer's folly, Lord Dagoth's temptation,
the Tribunal's seduction, the god's heart freed,
the prophecy fulfilled.

I was overcome with emotion when I heard this, and to recite it now still moves me.


One of my other MW favorites.

wait what????? there stuff about him other than him just being in the first min of the game ????? i never herd any thing about it and i've played a lot of morrowind.

When you play Oblivion you can hear NPCs talk about Saint Jiub being canonized by the Tribunal Temple for driving the cliff racers from Vvardenfell. UESP also has this information, though I cannot vouch for its accuracy: "He was killed during the Oblivion Crisis in a Daedra attack. Saint Jiub's Fair is a circus-like festival held in his honor."

Just mentioned in a rumor in Oblivion where he is credited with driving the Cliffracers from Morrowind. For that act he was made a saint in the Tribunal Temple. He later died during the Oblivion Crisis.

These are the quotes I believe

"Many are dead in the land of the Dunmer. Even St. Jiub, who drove the cliffracers from Vvardenfell, has fallen to the daedra hordes.", and
"I'm http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Burz_gro-Khash, and I'm in charge of this St. Jiub's Fair. All I need is clowns, monkeys, and jugglers. No. Wait... just need jugglers...."

Guess that qualifies as two more relatively unknown quotes? And so this thread has already born the fruit of knowledge and the first victim worthy one has taken their bite.

There is another idle quote made by Bretons in Morrowind that I like. Something about a Sweetroll on the ground? I rarely hear it...

Oh! "And What Would That Be?" ~ That one guy in Morrowind who sets your stats and Birthsign.. Seriously, I done the intro of Morrowind so much that when ever I read that quote out loud, I read it in his voice!

Also... Hircine from the ending of Bloodmoon. What was that again? I remember his final words was.. "And Hircine will hunt again!" Or something like that.. Crap.. I need to rewatch that cut scene.

And if excerpts from books count, this is my favorite. From Sermon 34:

The monster accepted Muatra with a peaceful look and his bones became the foundation for the City of the Dead, anon Narsis.
Nerevar put away his axe, which he had at the ready, and frowned.

'Why,' he said, 'did you ask me to come if you knew the eighth monster would give in so easily?'

Vivec looked at the Hortator for a long time.
Nerevar understood. 'Do not betray your nature. Answer as you will.'
Vivec said, 'I brought you here because I knew the mightiest of my issue would succumb to Muatra without argument, if only I gave him consolation first.'
Nerevar looked at Vivec for a long time.
Vivec understood. 'Say the words, Hortator.'
Nerevar said, 'Now I am the mightiest of your children.'
