I'm sharing this game with my two brothers...

Post » Mon Oct 17, 2011 7:50 am

It's going to be really frustrating to begin with when we all will want to be playing, but ultimately only one of us can. I'm the most obsessed one I think (being the only one who needs to go on this forum to get my fix), but I'm hoping that I'll get almost as much enjoyment just watching them play, just to see the game in action after so long will be incredible. Although I hate watching them play Oblivion because they are mind-numbingly stupid at times, but whatever we'll see what happens.

I just don't want to watch them do quests that I will be doing soon after, kind of ruins it.
I do think I'll get first go though (I [censored] better anyway as I was the one who showed them it).

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Nope, my brother wants to play it but in the end I pre-ordered it, so he can play when I'm done. In about, 3 years :P

just get an agreement on diffrent playstyles and diffrent factions they will be playing, one takes up the mage, another the thief and the last the warrior, that way you get diffrent things to watch and not all the same things to watch.

now trying to be diplomatic and sensible is out of the way id sudjest you go to the closest market stock up on canned food and lock yourself in a room with the game until youve played it through 3 times

I got my fiancee' hooked on TES as soon as she heard that Skyrim has dragons. As soon as she heard that she had me upgrade my preorder to CE, and she's paying for it. Well she was paying for it to begin with because it was supposed to be a birthday gift. Not sure yet if it's a good thing I got her hooked on it. I guess I'll find out in a year, as she's currently living in Australia, but will be moving here round summer of next year. So at least I get a whole several months alone with it before I discover whether getting her hooked on it is a curse or a gift.

Nope. I pre-ordered it for the PC and ps3. That way I don't have to fight over it with my girlfriend. She prefers consoles anyways.

Considering that my brother lives on the other side of the country I'd say I'm good. :)

I have the Husband who's war game comes out around the same time so there will be much fighting over the XBOX.

Luckily he rushes every game he plays (finished Gears of War 3 in 1 and a bit days) as he doesn't feel the need to collect every available achievement or even read any of the dialogue, I often find that if I watch him play for any length of time I end up knowing more about the background story than he does!

Which is probably why he only really gets into games that have structured levels where he's told where to go and what to do step by step, the complete opposite of what I like to play! so hopefully I'll just leave him alone with the XBOX for a night or two and he'll be done and then I can relax and enjoy Skyrim!! :celebration:

My daughter and I will both be playing, but her interest level in stuff fluctuates and my schedule is pretty busy, so it should only occasionally be an issue. When it is, I'll just come up with a chore she needs to do. :whistling:

Or more likely, I'll cave-in when she pouts. Have to be honest with myself here.

I'd recommend slapping a Celine Dion CD label on the disk as soon as it comes in. Otherwise they'll swipe it.

There is a solution to this

Give her a homework
Before playing TES5 she must finish TES:Arena, TES2, TES3 and TES4
That will keep her occupied at least till TES6 comes out :D

That sounds crappy. Even when I did live at home it was never an issue for me, as my sisters weren't into gaming (although one is now) and I had my own TV.

Don't watch them play it?
Start playing an older PC game, and whenever it's their turn on the xbox or PS3 or whatever you pass the time with the other game.
And if you are playing on PC only then uhm... Read a book? Watch TV or films? Go to the pictures? Go drink? Draw? Write? Eat?

She'd lose interest in the first two pretty quickly, but you have a point with Morrowind and Oblivion, especially if I install a few hundred hours worth of modded content.

Wife is not interested in Skyrim, so I get it all to myself. I had to preorder the new Star Wars MMO Collector's
Edition to her though because of some little robot she gets and a store/something...I'm really not sure what she
is on about, and also something about it only being fair? Hmmm, maybe I should come up with some chores for
her to do instead of wasting her time on computer gamers. That should teach her, don't you think?
