I believe it's confirmed that it will always be a male named Shaun.
Which hints that the son will be involved in the story somehow.
I'm still going to call him the wee baby Seamus.
Or if could be because there's little point in having randomisation on what is effectively a starting 'prop' for the tutorial. Its not like they let you choose what Pre-War food is sitting on top of the dining room table either - is that going to be then same box of food Codsworth gives you?! Semi-confirmed rumours!
If he would be a girl I would call him Samus. And give her a power armor.
My name in real life is Shaun, so to me it's fine having a son named after myself.
Shaun of the Wastes. With his gang of idiots they somehow thrive in the post-nuclear apocalypse.
I need to find where i read it, but when talking about the Mr Handy robot as a companion, they said that "he will say the players name".. so apparently they have done something where he will say whatever name you choose for yourself...
If thats the case, then perhaps he will say the name of the baby as well etc etc?
My first thought after seeing the topic.
Also.. when I read this threads title of "shaun the baby" I thought this was going to be a flame thread complaining about some developer or something lol.
He's not necessarily gonna be an enemy (though the chances are high). It could be that you meet him and then three quests later he dies in the most horrific way possible.
My personal theory on the name (as I believe he will in fact always be a boy named Shaun), is that if we then call our male protagonist/father the same name then he will sometimes refer to his son as 'junior'.
