SHEEPLE! - Media Outlets & Uberguilds Flock to AD

Post » Tue Mar 25, 2014 5:30 pm

Whats the deal with this? Afraid to go up against the other uberguilds? Looking for the I-Win campaigns? Really wish that a lot of these media guilds & uberguilds would go to different alliances! I'm just worried to see what I saw during the beta weekends - AD owning EVERYTHING on the map.

The worst is ESO off the record! Put up a poll saying, pick our alliance for us. Daggerfall Covenant wins the poll, then its nah, we don't want to have to compete so we are going to go the steamroll alliance. See yall in AD!

Waaaaaah, lol. Sorry for whining. Was just hoping to see more of a spread with the large organised guilds filling in each alliance so PVP can be a little more fun. Going to have to wait a while to find a campaign that has a good mix bag, as from what I saw in weekend betas AD was dominating each one I checked.

Maybe its all a trick, to get others to join AD so they can go DC at the last moment and omgwtfpwn them?

Balancing is always a major issue for Devs. There are tricks they can use to balance though. They will incentivize the heck out of joining whichever alliance is lacking at the time. I'm probably going DC regardless.

My girlfriend and I are intentionally going Ebhonheart just because of this. I usually do the exact opposite of "follow the crowd".

Maybe don't call other players (or anyone for that matter) "sheeple" for their choices. I've always played a khajiit in the Elder Scrolls games; this game will be no exception.

Are you forced to pick their campaign though? After the standard 90 day lock rolls out, the people wanting balance can just pick a less populated campaign, right?

In the beta, there was like 6 campaign locked to AD players, and every single one was open to everyone else. Cant we just pick, as any Alliance, the ones below the 6 locked ones and let them have a ghost town to themselves? It seems there is a good system in place for us players to manage blatant imbalances like this. Just avoid those campaigns and let them run around with each other "owning" absolutely nothing.

That's what I am going to do. I do not follow a crowd and I do not avoid it like a plague, I don't care if everyone is going to the same alliance that I am or if we are going to be the underdog. I'm picking AD for very specific reasons, none of them have anything to do with the other players.

I will just stay in the AD and hope that these giant PvP guilds have mostly nice members. It is possible, I'm coming for GW2 and my server there is pretty good in PvP, but it is still the nicest server.

Its funny cause in the last beta AD had TONS of people more than EP, they came and zerged our keeps and we steamrolled them with no problem at all. They are quantity, not much of quality. Also there was a poll in Tamriel Foundry about the alliance populations. And they show AD as the most populated, DC 2nd and EP at last. With around 4k people voted in total, It doesnt surprise me to see that AD and DC have higher number of people in a poll made in that web, since its known that most people that utilize TF are in AD and DC guilds. Which in reality does not apply to the whole population since 4k is not enough to predict how many people will be in every alliance.

I haven't kept up with the media or anything.
I just love Bosmer and I really want to visit Valenwood, not to mention Elsweyr looks cool too.
I might--MIGHT put my little mer in another faction... I did really love Vvardenfel so maybe I'll join them.

Not necessarily. In my campaign, AD was down to two keeps and had one Elder Scroll left by the end of the last beta.
