Sheet music for Orchestra parts for Skyrim theme?

Post » Wed Mar 05, 2014 4:30 pm

Hi guys, my music teacher really wants our school orchestra to be able to perform the Skyrim theme, but apparently can find only piano parts?

Does anyone know where I can get sheet music for the Skyrim theme, particularly parts for an entire school orchestra? Such as 1st violin, 2nd violin, viola, cello, bass, and whatever brass instrument and percussion is needed?

Why is such a mediocre theme so mainstream all of a sudden?

I don't read music myself, and with classical music you can't really learn by ear. So google is your friend Harry. :)

Well Hagrid, I take the past elder scrolls themes into consideration when I hear Skyrim's, and to each their own I guess, I don't consider it mediocre, neither does my music teacher it seems :P

These aren't just things you find in google, I would have went to musescore a long time ago if it were that easy, or rather, this wouldn't have been a problem in the first place, google isn't always the answer. I felt this was the best place to ask, a better chance of finding someone who may have the parts to it.

Why doesn't your music teacher have the sheet music?

What instrument do you play? I play the Skyrim theme on my banjo. But that's not exactly a classical instrument is it? :P

I'm on percussion for a different class, but I mainly play violin but have since jumped to viola for a while, loving that low C string haha.

Spoiler
Yay, violin buddies. :P I'm getting a violin today.

But anyway... Maybe your local music shop has the sheet music? Or perhaps you can buy it online? I don't know..

Better yet, come up with your own score! I always come up with my own arrangements of stuff.. But then again I don't play classical music.

I've been wanting this five string violin for some time, meaning two things

1) I love violin and viola, and can't choose, I'd rather be able to play both on the spot

2) I myself am not going to be staying purely classical music for long, actually, I don't play that in my free time practicing :P

In regards to the sheet music issue, there's actually a school nearby who played it with their own school orchestra, so I'm in the process of emailing them right now. If that doesn't work, well there are actually local music shops that specialize in sheet music, or the gathering of.

Hah, I'm trying to write my own arrangement based on some works of this guy on youtube named Teppei Okada, now that's a role model.
