So yes. This is a thread for all you fans of the dreamcast and xbox adventure series, Shenmue. It has been a decade since the last titles release and we have had a decade of suspicions, let downs, and what not while waiting for what many are hoping is the inevitable Shenmue 3. Last March at gdc, series creator Yu Suzuki yet again teased at the prospects of yet another Shenmue title. Whether it is because Sega at this point feels the series has been away too long to be relevant, or the fact that Shenmue series hadn't sold very well outside of the Japanese market, I feel the series deserves another go. So yes, Shenmue is definitely worthy of another series as far as I am concerned. I look at it as one of the last great titles in the now all but extinct adventure genre and the possibility of another game has me very excited. Who else would like to see another game, and do you thing it is even a possibility at this point?

Shenmue 3 needs to be developed and release. Such fine series deserves to be finished.

I think its funny that Yu wanted to have like 23 Shenmues for the Dreamcast, but could only get one done before the thing flopped. I loved me some Shenmue for the Dreamcast.

On an unrelated side note, does anyone here remember D2 for the Dreamcast? It was like a turn based, FPS, survivor, adventure RPG.

The first Shenmue is easily one of my favorite games, just finished it again recently. I'd love to see a current/next gen Shenmue be released. I bought the second one for Xbox on Ebay about 2 years ago, but never got passed like the first hour, I should probably get on that eventually. I feel like Yakuza has kind of become the new Shenmue, at least for this generation.
