Sheogorath (CoC)

What if there were an easter egg or something that when you've sat on the throne for a certain amount of time you become the Daedric Prince of Madness! Is that possible? That would be cool

I don't have Shivering Isles, so I can't be sure, but I thought that at the end of the MQ you WERE the Daedra Prince Sheogorath?

You are only the embodiment of Sheogorath. Basically a steward to the throne. You have a lot of the powers that the throne would give, but you don't have the full power. (otherwise, the Shivering Isles would be pointless after the MQ as you would just be able to steam roll through thousands of block hungry Grummites.)

Indeed. You didn't even bring up a lore piece or anything to try to support the idea of something like that happening.

Indeed again. Sheog himself expresses disbelief that you can "become" a Daedric Prince; you'd have to be et'Ada.

It happened to Trinimac and possibly Meridia.

They were Et'Ada, and powerful ones at that. All that proves is that one type of Et'Ada can become another.

This actually confuses me, though. Malacath is Triminac, who helped create the Mundus. Therefore Triminac, and by extension, Malacath is not a Daedra, but an Aedra. That means that Malacath can not possibly be a Daedra, unless the split personality thing can be translating into Triminac contributing, but the other side of him, Malacath did not. That means that there is an Aedra and a Daedra within the same being.

Sorry, just rambling.

But back to the point, the CoC can not become a Daedra, but can he become a Daedric Prince? Maybe, as he has taken on the mantle of an entire persona. That may mean that the CoC is not the CoC anymore, but Sheogorath, in the same way that Jygallyg was not Jygallyg but Sheo. And Jyg is a heck of a lot more powerful that the CoC.

Then why did CoC defeated Jyggalag and set him free?

Daedra, in the end, is just a word. Nothing more. And "all words are based on meat."

What about Arkay? He became an et'Ada, no? Sure, he became an Aedra, but if that's possible, surely the CoC could became a daedra.

Of course I've not seen anything in the game to confirm that story about Arkay, so it could be just complete bull.

"Lies from a previous age."

The only reason it's thought that he "became" one is because he technically couldn't exist without mortals, or rather, mortality.

In my opinion, he was basically a useless et'Ada until Shor died. Once that happened, he gained purpose.

To Whitestrake: Jyg was set free from the Greymarch curse; that just means that Sheog won't "come out" anymore, in my opinion.

There was Tiber Septim. He was a mortal who became a god.

And was more than one person. And Talos is technically a different entity.

The Imperial religion acknowledges Talos and Tiber Septim as the same person. I'm not saying they're right, but that's what they consider him to be.

Oh no you don't. The same grounds you use for dismissing the Arcturian Heresy make embracing any other version hypocrisy.

I didn't say that it was true, I only said that that's what they acknowledge.. But at the same time, I don't see any evidence for Tiber Septim and Talos being different people. So back off.

That's not what 94600 was talking about, he meant Enantiomorph.

Or in the same way that Vehk was not Vehk but Vivec. Granted, the circumstances were completely different, but it could have been a Sheogorath-induced dragon break.

*shudder* I said the 'D' word.

But if it were with Daedra, wouldn't it mean breaking Peryite instead of Akatosh?
