Sheogorath In Skyrim

Post » Sun Jun 26, 2011 7:10 am

I never consider the CoC being the same hero who became Sheogorath. The CoC is just the CoC, the guy who became the archmage is someone different, same with every guild, for canon reasons.

There is no hole, the Princes can choose whatever form they please. Also there is no cycle to for the CoC to fall into, as he/she had gained the favor of the other princes. Plus the cycle was a curse inflicted upon Jyggylad for growing too powerful, the other princes have nothing to fear from a young prince such as the CoC turned Sheogorath.

I bet he will appear the same with some crazy explanation :P

Sheogorath: did you know i was an elf once? or was it a khajiit? ....maybe i was a nord, or even an Argonian! but i'm pretty sure i was never an orc...or was i?! i'm not even sure i was always a man right now!

You just talk to Haskill instead of the CoC.

The Developers will need a huge-ass shovel to dig themselves out of this one.
Why? Sheogorath made Sheogorath become Sheogorath. There's nothing contradictory about what happened in OB and SI. Head to the lore forums and be enlightened!

It's not like Sheogorath is going to be any different. Still going to be the same nutty guy everyone swoons over, never giving any of the other princes a chance to grow.

His voice will at least be.
They've already confirmed Daedric shrines/quests, and Sheogorath is one of the most notable Daedric princes.

I would be happy if Daedric quests wouldn't be so obvious (like in IV).
Hide the shrines in some caves or anything.
Is there actually a god which would fit to Skyrim in your opinion?

Yes! Hide them in caves and ruins! Make them rewarding to find again!
Also Hircine, Boethia and Malacath would fit in very well especially Hircine.

How many though? Just because some are in it, doesn't mean a Sheogorath shrine will be (unless there's always been ALL Daedric prince shrines in every single TES game).

Well, yeah, in the last three, there have been.
With the exception of Jyggalag, who was created for the Shivering Isles expansion.

MW only had some princes, the 4 "bad" daedra, Molag Bal, Malacath, Mehrunes Dagon and Sheogorath, and the 3 "good" daedra, Azura, Boethia and Melphala's shrine. To note, this is the dunmer's classification. In reality, the daedra are forces that one shouldn't deal with. You're pretty much making a deal with the devil in every daedra's case.

Who said we were going to see him in person again? In all of the daedric quests in oblivion you just spoke to the statues, and the statue could very well resemble the old sheogorath rather than the CoC.

I hope you all know that the princes can change their form if they wish. Why, Sheogorath could look like Cthulhu if he wanted.

Wait, what? I thought Sheogorath was a twisted form of Jyggalag? Does that mean that the CoC will fall victim to the same cycle? Wouldn't that effectively render everything we did in the Shivering Isles absolutely pointless?

I think when the CoC defeated Jyggalag, it broke the cycle and allowed Jyggalag to become himself again permanently, while the CoC took on the mantle of Sheogorath. As for how he'll look, maybe the CoC just transformed him/her self into what Sheogorath looks like and sounds like.

But they never do, when addressing mortals.
Hircine could take the form of a badger wearing a sombrero, but he never does.
So, even if the PC from Oblivion were to show up as Sheogorath, it would likely be as Sheogorath's recognized form, because mortals appreciate continuity.

No, when the CoC defeated Jyggalag, he defeated Sheogorath, because they were the same being.
The whole reason you had to become Sheogorath was to prevent the Greymarch and Jyggalag's cycle of existence.

So Sheogorath is no more?

No, the PC of Oblivion is Sheogorath now, but Sheogorath without the downside of also being Jyggalag.

No, as then Jygglad couldn't exist outside the Greymarch.

i imagine the shivering isles are in essence a part of sheogorath's being and worked as a catalyst to transform the CoC into sheogorath physically and mentally until all that remains is the lord of madness. perhaps that was his plan all along, to continue existing apart from jyggalag

Myself I believe the C.o.C. became infused with the powers of the Isles and Sheogorath and became what his predecessor was. I believe he'll appear the same as he has in past games and will sound/act no differently.

Hmm... makes me think what the CoC and Haskill are doing right now...

"Almost 200 years Haskill, and I still have the memories of Martin! Or was it Steven? I can't really remember now."

*Haskill facepalms*

"Whatever you say sir."
