Sheogorath In Skyrim

Post » Sun Jun 26, 2011 5:38 am

If Deadric quests can still be done, and since the Champion of Cryodiil ascended to the title of Mad God. If doing a quest for Sheogorath you'd be working for the Champion of Cyrodiil himself right?

In further thought: What quest as the Champion of Cryodiil would you give yourself as Dovakiin?

I'd tell myself to find the Nerevarine and we could all three have a dragon party.

The Developers will need a huge-ass shovel to dig themselves out of this one.

I think that would be messy, the CoC alone was able to defy the odds and Become Sheogorath because he was a Hero of Prophecy, immune to the tides of fate, ironically.

It would. But it's been 200 years since then (correct?) anything could have happened, who knows. Guess we'll find out November.

How hard is it to imagine the CoC grew to his station, or choose another in his place?

Jiggs was turned in to Sheo by the realm, why wouldn't the realm turn the next guy into the same exact Sheo?

Will Sheogorath be in Skyrim? Yes.
Will he be exactly the same? Yes.

End of story. To bulldozer needed.

Dig themselves out of what? I'd say they never left a hole to begin with.

A mortal has become Sheogorath before. Arden Sul was a mortal who, like the player, mantled Sheogorath and became the Madgod. That's why the Heretics go around saying Sheogorath is merely a man. I imagine by the time of Skyrim, the CoC will have accepted the same fate as Arden Sul did: becoming Sheogorath permanently. If Sheogorath is indeed one of the Daedric Princes featured in Skyrim, I assume he will be indistinguishable from how he was in the past.

I'm sure BGS can come up with something, Look at the absolute nightmare that Daggerfall presented for continuality.

200 years in the eyes of a God is nothing, and the Deadra don't just give up their Godhood on a whim.

Wait, what? I thought Sheogorath was a twisted form of Jyggalag? Does that mean that the CoC will fall victim to the same cycle? Wouldn't that effectively render everything we did in the Shivering Isles absolutely pointless?

This, the mantling process will turn him into the Sheogorath we all know and love.

I would be happy if Daedric quests wouldn't be so obvious (like in IV).
Hide the shrines in some caves or anything.
Is there actually a god which would fit to Skyrim in your opinion?

Sheogorath looks like a white guy with cat eyes, just like how Azura looks like a Dunmer woman, and Mehrunes Dagon looks like a Dremora with four arms.
No matter what race your character was, he'll end up looking like a white guy with cat eyes, because that's what Sheogorath looks like.

I bet the Champion of Cyrodiil spends most of his time as Sheogorath (looking like him, acting like him, thinking that he's him, etc.) but every thousand years, he turns back into the Champion of Cyrodiil and destroys his realm, only to be turned back into Sheogorath.

Deadroth have no mortal form. They choose to appear however they wish...

COC...ha

anyhoozles, i doubt there will even be a sheogorath quest. Bethesda's all about "doing it right" and i really don't think there's an acceptable way to factor that in.

I love this post for some reason.
But I think they can just go "ITS NOT CANON." and have the old one.

That would be a funny twist that I could see the developers using. I'm curious to see what explanation will Bethesda come up with for Skyrim if Sheogorath will be in it.

Maybe M'Aiq has become Sheogorath!!

But seriously. Sheogorath himself will not appear. The most we'll see is a daedric shrine to him. This shrine was probably built more than 200 years before the events of Skyrim, meaning it was built when we were with the "original" Sheogorath, meaning it will look like him. If there's a quest for it the only strange thing will be the voice -- but really, they could get away with one of the following:

1) Use Sheogorath's original voice and claim that the CoC got this voice after being Sheogorath for a while.
2) Use Sheogorath's original voice and claim the CoC is just putting it on for fun. He's the madgod, he can do that.
3) Use any old voice and say "This was the REAL CoC's voice, regardless of how you played Oblivion".
4) Use any old voice and claim that the CoC grew tired of being madgod and passed it on to someone else.

Or my personal favourite:

5) Be greeted by a weary Haskill, who declares that the madgod has more important things to do that address you personally.
