Sheogorath in Skyrim!

Post » Sat Dec 11, 2010 3:29 am

Okay so we know that our previous character the Champin of Cyrodil.turned into sheogorath at the end of Shivering isles when he defeated Jyggalag, so given that the canon here is a male Imperial do you guys think the will make an appearance in Skyrim either at a shrine or help the Dragonborn defeat Alduin,as even though he's now a Daedric Prince he must still care about his home,so what do you think will they get a new voice actor or will Haskill speak on his behalf seriously they shouldn't just ditch the new sheogorath. Also i think they
should give him an irish accent this time around to different him from the old Sheogorath and they should make him look like a younger version of the old one.

what do you think?

I like to imagine shivering isles never happened as far as lore is concerned...

Why?

don't get me wrong, it was fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but the whole thing seemed like a giant easter egg to me

Not to mention there's an exact thread for this already.

Search, I bet it feels lonely from lack of use from time to time. I kind of feel bad for it. Its like a puppy who tries its hardest to give you the paper, but for some reason people are looking to the clouds for their news.

Ther is no CoC anymore: only Sheogorath. So, there's no reason to change Sheogorath from the way he was.

He is now EXACTLY the same as the old Sheo. why? because time is non-linear outside of mundas. The CoC mantled himself.

Wow. So it's canonical. The COC ventured into the SI and became the mantle of the Madgod?

Damn, why did he/she do that? What did everyone in Tamriel think?

Em but it is canon that the hero of Cryodil defeated Jyggalag thats like saying that Martin sacarficing himself to defeat Mehrunes Dagon isn't canon.
Bethesda said all the events in every game or canon hell skyrims story was set up by all the previous games and expansions which are all canon i have been playing them since daggerfall so what you said is just insulting.

Well there should be statues of:

“Sir Lacus Somniorum, Night of the Nine, Night of the Imperial Dragon, Champion of Cyrodiil, Master of fighters, Mages, and Thieves, and Lord Sheogorath. Etc…”

But there wont be.

Sheogorath is still there. I think this just gives a good reason for the champion of Cyrodill to dissapear off the face of the Earth before anyone thinks to ask their name or notice their gender.

In my mind, Sheogorath is now the name of the Daedric Princess of Madness, who still keeps that insanely charming Gaelic (since Wes combined so many accents, that's the only thing we can describe it as) going on in her voice.

Anyway, I'm very sure we'll see the statues and shrines again. And thus Sheo. ^_^

Who says Sheogorath (CoC) can't change his appearance? It's HIS realm now after all.

Maybe Madness got him/her and changed him/her completely into Sheogorath?

The CoC was already very insane anyway. You know, multiple personality disorder. Only someone who is completely bonkers can go from being the Champion of Cyrodiil, to arch-mage of the entire Mages Guild, to the head of the Fighters Guild, to being the Grey Fox, to the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, and so on.

Also, since the CoC mantled Sheogorath, the CoC was really Sheogorath the whole time. To find out more about mantling and becoming a god, go visit the Lore Forums, and do some searching.

MMMMmmm.... Well we won't be seeing the original Sheogorath that's for sure...

And unless the Champion of Cyrodiil found a way to become an immortal daedra he's defn dead by the start of Skyrim so would that leave the Shivering Isles, in a state of election?

Afro-American Madgod anyone?

Kidding but really maybe the Madgod will be elected by whoever is the most powerful daedra in the realm.

Or does the realm even exist at all after the Daedric Lord who created/ruled over it is gone?

Edit: And does Jyggalag try to conquer the Isles and turn it into a Daedric plane of Order?

It's not really important. He/she is ultimately just another version of Sheogorath; the Madgod's PR department will not be significantly altered.

I'd like to see his voice implemented similarly to the Master's in FO1, with spliced words and sounds from different genders/archetypes. This would reflect the open ended (and consequentially chaotic) outcome of the Shivering Isles, due to the PC variety of all the ES games. It would it be the first instance of interacting directly with a previous game's PC, wouldn't it?

I'm really wondering if they'll include a Sheogorath shrine/quest at all, or if they'll just replace him with the now well-defined Jyggalag.

Sheogorath has to appear in this game in SOME capactiy, anyway.

Um, what? I didn't mean to insult you. I never said that SI wasn't canon. I was just saying that now the CoC is Sheogorath. The CoC who once was doesn't really exist anymore. Maybe I'm alone in thinking that, but that's just how I see the outcome of SI.

If you're just implying that the CoC became exactly like Sheogorath, I believe that's what happened, too.
