The mortal realms of oblivion Volume I: Sheogorath's Sheogorad by Ababael Assurnarairan Assardidairan Teneran

[Editor's Note: This series of books was written by my father Ababael Assurnarairan Assardidairan Teneran. Only years after his death was me, his son allowed to publish his books. His name alone is for many people a sign that my father never existed, because a Dunmer rarely has more than a last name. (In the Dunmer culture only "High" Families are equipped with last names. That one Dunmer equal to 3 has is very unusual and looks like the unconditional call attention of descent). Therefore, I would like at the beginning of the book series, which my father wrote when he explored Tamriel to explain how he came to his name.

My father was born in Ababael Assurnarairan at the Urshilaku camp. Fairly quickly, he fell in love with the daughter of the Ashkhans named Urshamusa Assardidairan. The tradition of Ashlander it forbade my father not to marry her because his family was already known in the camp (More on that later). However, he had to tak her last name, if he would want to marry her. But the name Assurnarairan is a significant name of the Urshilaku. An ancestor of Assurnarairans led Urshilaku ages ago to its storage position which they used until late again in the 3rd era.

For this the Assurnarairan family was allowed a generation provide a Gulakhan. In order not to forget this honorable time of the Assurnarairan-Family my father called himself after the wedding Ababael Assurnarairan Assardidairan. Unfortunately Urshamusa was infected by a plague-storm from the center Dagoth Urs with Corprus disease in the year 3E 400, just 52 Years after the Wedding. In order to not besmirch her honor Ababael usedthe excuse they would have been injured on a trip, until such time as their mental abilities subsided. Then he killed her in love and honor. As one the dull thud of the ax heard with the redeemed my father Urshamusa he was led to her father, the Ashkhan. There have been rumors by the Urshamusa that she was infected with the divine-disease has been infected because they did'nt saw her a long time. My father described the process in his diarys as follow:

"Urshamusa was my love. She married me even at her position. What if not love should that be? Despite their weakened position within the tribe she was her father's honor. And to her favorite sake, and her father's honor, I answered the question with "Her injury worsened. I ended her suffering." Hairan Assardidairan immediately wanted to see the body of his daughter. After a few minutes he came back to his tent, where I was still under surveillance. He was an old and wise leader who got to face already all stages of any disease that you could get in Ashlands. He turned back to me and asked, "She was hurted on your hunt?" I nodded "You were out there in the free flat as you surprised the Pest-storm. How do you explain it that it has been violated, and you do not?" I knew that he must have recognized the weak signs of the divine-sickness at his daughter. I do not know why he asked. Maybe he wanted to intensify my suffering. I believe, however, that he was looking for a confirmation. So I answered, "It was divine intervention." His facial expression I will never forget. "

Then father was banished from the camp. However he got enough supplies to get to Ald'ruhn. Many Ashlander which have left their familys searched in Ald'ruhn for work. An old friend of my father was even become a member of the House Redoran. And that's where he was looking for work. He worked there as a hunter for the kitchens of the royal houses. In one of the kitchens where he bring the meat he met my mother Dilami Teneran. They married after 2 years and put me into this world. To not forget his descent he retained his previous name and so he called himself from then on. Ababael Assurnarairan Assardidairan Teneran.]

During my trip through Tamriel I joined quickly the Mages Guild in black-light, since my trips first carried me to the mainland Morrowind. There I met a guild chamberlain named Mathieu Bellamont. I do not know what it looked like in the rest of the Guildes of Tamriel at this time but in black light, perhaps it was all in Morrowind not infrequently the magicians also Deadra revered and sometimes even belonged to a Daedric cult. Mathieu was a follower of the Deadra-Prince Sheogorath. Besides, he was also the author of many short stories. But his incredible work offers enough material for another book series.

During my work in the guild Mathieu was a good friend to me. And so I asked him to tell me more about Sheogorath. He was extremely talkative, indeed almost in a kind of ecstasy when he was allowed to talk about his mad master. But he was also well versed in the general Deadra lessons. I was extremely fascinated by this topic. So I went to learn more about the Daedra at the mainland of Morrowind. The guildmaster of Narsis' gave me a book in hand from which I was intrigued: "Sheogorath influences" ironically wrote from Mathieu Bellamont, some time after I left Black-Light. There I read that Sheogorath possessed a special control in an area of Vvardenfell called Sheogorad . Too close to each Daedra-Prince I found such an area of the high control. Through my studies I knew that I could do no good conclusions, without having seen the described areas themselves. After my travels, I can proudly say that there are really such zones and that the Daedra there have a high control and determine the areas. Reports that I found in my travels According, it may even be that the control continues to rise. Slowly but surely. I would now, in various volumes describe my results of the investigations of the various regions of Tamriel.

In the north of the island Vvardenfell there is an archipelago with 28 islets. This area is called Sheogorad and is under the control of Deadra Prince Sheogorath. The control got Sheogorath from Vivec, the former hero God personally. Shortly after the settlement of Vvardenfell by Chimer were built on Sheogorad countless monuments in honor of the Mad-God. So the archipelago got gradually the name Sheogorath. But Vivec (or one of his priests who acted in his/her name) which already held the power of God, claiming that no one could desecrate the archipel with give it the name of a Daedra. Baar-Dau, a high-priest of Sheogorath recognized the threat in the words of Vivec, and changed the name to "Sheogorad".

Vivec, probably violated in his honor, as he looked at the scarcely perceptible change of name as mockery, caused the complete destruction of all shrines on the island. When Vivec then built its own island with countless temples of Dunmer (the city Vivec) was Sheogorath so furious that he threw his priests wich was killed at the destruction og Sheogorad Baar Dau as Aedra / Daedra Manifested and aiming to the new Temple in Vivec. Vivec impressed Baar Dau so much that he stopped just as he realized how strong the love of the people for Vivec was. Shortly after the stop of Baar-Dau Vivec and Sheogorath met inside the Aedra / Daedra which was recognizable for mortals as a rock. There Vivec and Sheogorath spoke about the archipelago. Under the condition that Sheogorath will Morrowind threaten never to this extreme manner like the attack it with Baar-Dau, the islands although Sheogorath include but his influence will remain low. Sheogorath consented because he knew as Daedra where Vivec got his divine power and knew that this would not hold forever.

At least this is the version of the Sheogorad cult. In fact, there are some signs that speak of the truth of this version. So that Vivec be forwarded to the influence of the Daedric Prince have weakened the Sheogorad area, with his divine power. In fact, there was theprime-time of ALMSIVI scarcely perceptible signs of Sheogorath's influence. But after theaccess to Lorkhans heart was denied to the Tribunal (hardly a secret anymore, dear temple!) the influence Sheogorath rose again. Over time, the madness received entry into the archipelago. So there was a lonely Khajiit on a small island in Sheogorad speaking on delusion. So he told me, for example, the subject lines: "Climb up on ropes hanging is too heavy. M'aiq prefers to climb on ropes that are attached horizontally. "

He also spoke of even crazier things like dragons, or something called "Multi-Pleyer". Above all, in Daedric ruins the madness was most present. Thus, there are reports of orcs wich believed that they are Khajiit or orcs who want to live all alone and deposited and is therefore in a tower next to a village. Also reports on Argonians which collect forks come to my attention. Or even a hut which holds the Saryonis original lessons and it is guarded by an old woman (the most valuable book Morrowind, maybe even Tamriel. Guarded by an old woman), wants to live in close proximity to a Dunmer which lives thousand years alone because (I quote) " Sheogorath bet with Azura that this is not possible without going mad" I'm sure. The teachings of Sheogorad cult, the weakening of the Tribunal and the increased presence of madness can't simply be a coincidence. The archipelago Sheogorad is under the control of Sheogorath. And the influence is growing. Who knows where that will culminate.
